Alright, so I finally grabbed NBA 2K24, and like with any new game, the first hurdle is always getting signed in and ready to play. It wasn’t super obvious at first, so I figured I’d scribble down my steps in case anyone else is scratching their head.
Firing Up the Game
First things first, I launched the game. Pretty basic, I know. I’m on PlayStation, by the way, but I’m guessing it’s similar on Xbox or PC.
The Main Menu Madness
Once the game loaded up, I was at the main menu. There were a bunch of options, but nothing that screamed “SIGN IN HERE!” So, I started poking around.
Finding the “Connect” Option
I navigated to the area of the menu with all those tiles like “MyCareer,” “MyTeam,” and so on. And there it was, tucked in a corner – “Connect.” It wasn’t labeled “Sign In,” which is what threw me off. I clicked on that.
Creating/Linking My 2K Account
This is where it got a little more involved. The game prompted me to either create a new 2K Account or link an existing one. I already had one from playing previous 2K games, so I chose the “link” option.
- If you don’t have a 2K Account, you’ll need to create one. It’s pretty standard – you’ll enter your email, create a password, and probably agree to some terms of service.
- If you do have an account, you’ll just enter your email and password that you used before.
The Email Verification Shuffle
Once I entered my info, the game sent a verification code to my email. This is a pretty common step these days. So, I switched over to my email, found the code, and typed it back into the game.
Success!
After entering the verification code, boom! I was in. The game recognized my account, and I was good to go. All my previous progress and settings were there, which was a relief.
