Well, talkin’ about Earl Strickland, that man has made a name for himself in pool. Folks ’round here call him “The Pearl,” ’cause he’s polished like a gem when he plays. Ain’t no surprise he’s one of the best nine-ball players in the world. Now, if you’re wonderin’ ’bout his wife, well, let me tell ya somethin’ ’bout that.
Earl, he ain’t married no more. He was once hitched to a gal named Lisa Strickland. They tied the knot back in 1992, stayed together for ’bout 10 years or so, but it didn’t last. In 2002, they decided to part ways. That’s how life goes sometimes, right? Even though they ain’t together no more, I heard they still get along just fine. Not many folks can say that after a split, but Earl and Lisa, they’ve managed to keep things friendly.

Now, Earl’s been around a while. He was born June 8, 1961, and started playin’ pool real young, like eight years old or somethin’. By the time he was 16, he was playin’ in professional tournaments. And let me tell ya, he won his fair share of ’em. He’s got over 100 titles under his belt, and he’s even won three world titles. Not bad for a fella who started out playin’ just for fun.
Earl’s Nickname
They don’t call him “The Pearl” for nothin’. I reckon it was some snooker commentator that gave him that name, said he was playin’ like a polished gem. And the name stuck. Folks compare him to another famous Earl, Earl “The Pearl” Monroe, a basketball player. Both of ’em are legends in their own right.
Now, back in 2006, Earl got himself into the Billiard Congress of America’s Hall of Fame. That’s a big deal in the pool world. He’s won just ’bout every major title there is, and folks still talk ’bout his big win in 1996 when he snagged the largest cash prize ever at the time — a cool $1,000.
Marriage Life

But like I said earlier, Earl’s marriage to Lisa didn’t last. They was together for 10 years, but somethin’ went wrong along the way. I reckon that’s how it goes sometimes. Some folks make it last forever, and some, well, they don’t. But it seems like Earl and Lisa got no hard feelings toward each other, which is good to hear. They didn’t have no kids, so I guess that made things a little easier when they split.
- In 1992, Earl married Lisa Strickland.
- They divorced in 2002 after 10 years of marriage.
- They didn’t have no children together.
What’s Earl Up To Now?
As of now, Earl ain’t remarried. He’s still playin’ pool, doin’ what he does best. Even though he ain’t got no wife right now, he seems to be doin’ alright. Some folks just focus on what they love, and for Earl, that’s pool. He’s still competin’, still winnin’, and still bein’ “The Pearl.”
So, there ya have it. Earl Strickland ain’t married these days, but he was once with Lisa for a good long while. They might not be together no more, but Earl’s still got plenty goin’ for him in the pool world. And who knows, maybe one day he’ll find himself another special someone. But for now, it’s just him and the pool table, and that seems to suit him just fine.
