Well, let me tell ya, them folks at NASCAR sure been busy changin’ things up for the 2025 season, and it’s gonna be a whole different ride. They been talkin’ about it for months, and now they finally released the schedule. I reckon there’s a lot of folks out there scratchin’ their heads, tryin’ to figure out what all these changes mean. Well, I’m here to give ya the rundown, just as plain as a two-dollar bill.
First off, they done added a whole new race down in Mexico City. Yup, that’s right—NASCAR’s headin’ down south for the first time ever in a big way. They’ve been makin’ noise about this for a while, and now it’s official. I tell ya, them drivers gonna have to get used to racin’ in a whole new country. But don’t go thinkin’ all the changes are for the better, ‘cause they’s got rid of Homestead and moved it to March, which is somethin’ folks ain’t too happy about. Now, instead of all the folks from Florida packin’ in, it’s gonna be a different kinda crowd, I reckon.

Now, onto them playoffs. They got a whole new set-up, y’all. The first round now includes races at Darlington, Gateway, and Bristol. I tell ya, those tracks are real tough, and they’ll sure be puttin’ the drivers through their paces right off the bat. And if that ain’t enough, they done switched up the quarterfinals too. New Hampshire’s takin’ the place of Talladega, and folks are wonderin’ how that’s gonna shake out.
But wait, it gets better. The semifinals now feature races at Las Vegas, Talladega, and Martinsville. Now, those three tracks, they’re somethin’ else. Real hard to keep your focus, and even harder to keep your car runnin’ smooth. And the Championship Race? Well, that’s stayin’ in Phoenix for November 2nd, so at least somethin’ stays the same.
There’s 30 oval races on the schedule, but don’t go thinkin’ that’s all you’re gonna see. They got 5 road course races lined up, plus one street race, and 4 non-championship races. So if you like variety, 2025’s your year. But I reckon the biggest surprise is World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway and New Hampshire Motor Speedway, both gettin’ added to the postseason in 2025. These tracks are new to the playoffs, but they’s got enough history to make ‘em real challengin’. Gateway’s gonna be in the Round of 16, and New Hampshire’s gonna be in the Round of 12, so keep an eye on them.
Now, here’s somethin’ that might not be on your radar. Chevy’s gonna keep usin’ the Camaro in 2025 and beyond. But, they ain’t allowed to make no big changes to the body design. So, if you’re a fan of them Camaros, you won’t see nothin’ too fancy comin’ out of their factory. They’re stickin’ with what works.
All in all, there’s a lotta big changes comin’ to NASCAR in 2025, and I reckon it’ll be a wild season. Whether or not the fans are gonna like all these new tracks and shifts in the schedule, well, that’s somethin’ we’ll just have to wait and see. But NASCAR’s always been about mixin’ things up and keepin’ it interesting, and I reckon 2025’s gonna be no different.

So, if you’re gonna watch, mark them dates down, ‘cause things is changin’ fast, and you don’t wanna miss it. Grab yer snacks, sit back, and enjoy the show—2025’s gonna be a season like no other!
