Alright, so you wanna know about that NASCAR race, huh? When’s it on, what channel, all that stuff? Let me tell ya, it ain’t always easy to figure these things out. They change it up all the time, just to confuse us old folks, I swear. But I done some askin’ around, and here’s what I found out.
First things first, the big race, the NASCAR Cup Series Championship, that one’s usually on NBC. Yeah, that’s the one with the peacock. If you’re up in Canada, it’s on somethin’ called TSN. Don’t ask me what that stands for, I ain’t got a clue. Now, if you wanna watch it online, they say you can use this “Fubo” thing. Sounds fancy, probably costs a pretty penny, but they got a free trial, so you can try it out before you pay up. Just remember to cancel it if you don’t like it, or they’ll stick ya with a bill, you know how these things go.

Now, about what time it starts… that’s where it gets tricky. They don’t all start at the same time, ya see. Like that Talladega playoff race, they said that one starts at 2:00 PM ET on a Sunday. But the Championship race, that’s a bit later, usually around 3:00 PM ET, or 1:00 PM if you’re watchin’ it right there at the track in Phoenix. See? Different times, different places. Gotta keep your eyes peeled, or you’ll miss the whole thing.
And don’t even get me started on the other races. There’s a whole bunch of ’em, and they’re on all sorts of channels. Sometimes it’s FOX, sometimes it’s USA NETWORK, channel 242 they say, and sometimes it’s back on NBC, channel 12. If you got that DIRECTV thing, they say you get all them channels, plus ESPN and FS1. Sounds like a lot of racin’ to me! You can also check out , they got all them dates on there, or so they say.
Oh, and sometimes they change things up. Just when you think you got it all figured out, they go and postpone a race! Like that one time, they moved it to February 19 at 4 PM ET. Then another time, they suspended it and moved it to August 19 at 11 AM ET. See what I mean? It’s enough to make your head spin. So, the best thing to do is check the schedule, and check it again, just to be sure. And don’t trust everything you hear, especially from those youngsters, they don’t know nothin’!
- NASCAR Cup Series Championship: Usually on NBC (USA) or TSN (Canada), around 3:00 PM ET. Check Fubo for streaming.
- Talladega Playoff Race: Around 2:00 PM ET.
- Other Races: Can be on FOX, USA NETWORK (Ch. 242), NBC (Ch. 12), ESPN, or FS1. DIRECTV has most of these channels.
- Always Double-Check: Race times and channels can change, so it’s best to check the schedule more than once.
So, there you have it. That’s about all I know about the NASCAR times and channels. Hope it helps ya, and I hope you enjoy the race! Just remember, keep an eye on the schedule, and don’t let them TV folks fool ya. They’re always up to somethin’, those city slickers. And don’t forget to have some snacks ready, you can’t watch a good race without somethin’ to munch on.
And if you’re really confused, just ask your neighbor. Maybe they know somethin’ I don’t. It takes a village, you know, especially when it comes to figuring out these TV schedules. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some lemonade. All this talkin’ about racin’ has made me thirsty.
