Alright, so you wanna know what channel is the NASCAR on today, huh? Well, let me tell ya, it ain’t always easy to figure these things out. These TV folks, they like to switch things around on ya, just when you get used to somethin’!
But from what I hear, and what my grandson told me, if it’s one of them big races, like the NASCAR Cup Series Championship, then you gotta look for it on NBC. Yeah, that’s right, NBC. They seem to like showin’ them fast cars.

Now, if it ain’t the championship, but it’s still a big deal race, like that one they have in Las Vegas, the Las Vegas playoff race, it might still be on NBC. But you always gotta double-check, you hear? These things can change faster than a chicken runnin’ from a fox.
My grandson, he’s always lookin’ at this thing called “TSN”. Says it’s got a whole list of when them races are on. He says it’s on somethin’ called “*”. I don’t know nothin’ about that “dot-see-ay” stuff, but he says it tells ya when all the NASCAR Cup Series and other car races are on TV. So, if you got one of them computery things, maybe you can look it up there.
- So, big races, look for NBC.
- For a whole schedule, try that thing.
Now, some folks, they don’t even watch it on TV no more. They do this thing called “streamin’”. My grandson says you can watch it on somethin’ called “Fubo”. Sounds like a funny name, don’t it? Fubo. He says you can even try it for free for a week. I don’t know about that, seems kinda fishy to me, gettin’ somethin’ for nothin’. But he says it’s a way to watch the races live online, whenever you want.
And then there’s all these other channels, like FOX and USA Networks. Sometimes the races are on there too. It’s enough to make your head spin! My grandson says that DIRECTV has some of them too. He’s always talkin’ about channels and packages and whatnot. I just tell him, “Boy, just tell me what channel the cars are on!”
If you’re lookin’ for a race in a particular place, like that one they have in Phoenix, you gotta look for the NASCAR Phoenix TV schedule. That’ll tell ya what channel it’s on in that city. But again, it could be on NBC, or FOX, or maybe even somethin’ else. You just gotta keep your eyes peeled.

You know, back in my day, we didn’t have all this fancy stuff. We just listened to the race on the radio. You could hear the roar of the engines and the announcers gettin’ all excited. It was somethin’ else. But now, everyone wants to see it on TV, big as life. And that’s fine, I guess. Just makes it a whole lot harder to figure out what channel it’s on!
So, the best advice I can give ya is to check them TV listings, or ask your grandkids, or maybe try that “*” thing. And if all else fails, just keep flippin’ through the channels ’til you find them cars go in’ round and round! Good luck to ya, and I hope your favorite driver wins!
And remember, whether it’s the NASCAR Cup Series season or just a regular race, keep your ears open and your eyes peeled, because these TV channels, they like to keep you on your toes!
One last thing, if you really want to be sure you don’t miss a race, maybe you should think about that “Fubo” thing my grandson talks about. Like I said, it seems a little fishy to me, but he swears by it. And he’s a smart boy, even if he does spend too much time lookin’ at that phone of his. So, test out Fubo with a seven-day FREE trial, see if you like it. Nothin’ to lose, right?
Anyway, I hope this helps you find your race. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about fast cars has made me hungry!
