Alright, so you wanna know about this IWC F1 watch, huh? Well, lemme tell ya what I know, though I ain’t no fancy watch expert or nothin’. It’s just that my grandson, he’s always yappin’ about these things, and I hear stuff, ya know?
So, first off, this IWC, it’s a big deal watch company. They make them Swiss watches, the kind that cost more than my whole chicken coop, probably. And this F1 watch, it’s got somethin’ to do with racin’ cars. Them fast cars, like on TV, the ones that go zoom zoom. My grandson says it’s called Formula One or somethin’. Fancy name for cars goin’ in circles if you ask me.

This IWC, they been buddies with them car folks, somethin’ called Mercedes-AMG, for a long, long time. Since like, 2004. That’s a lot of years, even for an old lady like me. And since 2013, they even closer, like “official engineering partners” or somethin’. Sounds important, I guess. Means they make watches special for them race car drivers and fans, I reckon.
Now, these watches, they ain’t cheap. Not one bit. My grandson says they can cost a whole bunch of money. Like, buy-a-new-tractor money. But he also says they can be worth somethin’ later on, like if they’s special kinds or old ones they don’t make no more. He calls it “vintage” or “limited edition.” Sounds like a load of hogwash to me, but what do I know? I’d rather spend my money on a good pair of work boots than somethin’ you just wear on your wrist.
- If you take care of it, this watch can last a real long time,
- Maybe even longer than me, and that’s sayin’ somethin’!
- And it might get more valuable too, but that ain’t no promise, mind ya.
You wanna buy one of these watches? Well, good luck to ya. You can find ’em in fancy stores, the kind with glass doors and shiny floors. My grandson says there’s this place called Chrono24 where you can look at prices and compare. And another place, Catawiki, where you can buy and sell ’em like they’s old furniture or somethin’. Sounds like a whole lotta trouble if you ask me.
There’s even stores in places like Oslo and Bergen, wherever them are. And they give you a “guarantee” and maybe even a little bit off the price, like 15 or 30 percent. But even with that off, it’s still gonna cost ya. I tell ya, these city folk and their fancy things… they got more money than sense.
So, what’s the big deal about this IWC F1 watch? Well, it’s a fancy watch, made by a famous company, and it’s got somethin’ to do with race cars. It’s expensive, but it might be worth somethin’ later on. And you can buy it in fancy stores or online. That’s about it, as far as I can tell. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed my chickens. They’re more reliable than any of these fancy watches, that’s for sure.

One more thing, I almost forgot. They got numbers and letters on ’em, like this “IW388108” my grandson was talkin’ about. It’s like a secret code or somethin’. I guess it tells you what kind of watch it is, what year it was made, and all that jazz. Like I said, more trouble than it’s worth, if you ask me. But if you’re into that kinda stuff, I guess it’s important. Just don’t go spendin’ your life savings on it, ya hear?
Anyways, that’s all I know about this IWC F1 watch. Hope it helps ya. And remember, time is precious, whether you’re wearin’ a fancy watch or just lookin’ at the sun go down. Don’t let them city slickers fool ya into thinkin’ you need a fancy watch to tell the time. A good ol’ rooster crows just as good.
