Alright, listen up, y’all. We gonna talk about this NBA 2K24 MyLeague thing, and how to mess with that there starting lineup. It ain’t rocket science, even this old woman can figure it out, so you young’uns better pay attention.
First things first, you gotta get yourself into that MyLeague mode. You know, where you’re the boss man, runnin’ the whole shebang. Once you in there, it’s all about clickin’ around till you find what you need. Don’t be scared, just poke around.

Now, I hear tell there’s two ways to get at this lineup thing. One way is from the main menu. You see that “Coaching” tab? Yeah, that one. Click on that, then look for something called “Coach Gameplan.” Sounds fancy, but it ain’t. It’s just where you tell them boys who to put on the court at the start of the game. This is where the magic happens, where you decide who’s gonna be your main men, your starters.
- Main Menu
- Coaching Tab
- Coach Gameplan
- Starting Lineup
The other way is when you’re already in a game, you know, watchin’ them fellas run up and down the court. You can pause that thing, and there it is again, that “Coaching” tab. Same deal, click on it, find “Coach Gameplan,” and there you go, messin’ with that lineup. Easy peasy.
Now, when you get to that lineup screen, you’ll see all your players. The game might have some fellas in there already, but that don’t mean nothin’. You the boss, remember? You can drag and drop them fellas wherever you want. Put your best shooter guardin’ the point, your big strong fella under the basket, you know, the usual stuff. It ain’t hard. Just think about who’s good at what and put ’em where they fit.
And don’t you forget, you can change this lineup whenever you want. If a fella’s playin’ like garbage, bench him! Put someone else in. That’s the beauty of bein’ the boss. You ain’t stuck with nobody. Try different things, see what works. That’s how you win games, by bein’ smarter than the other guy.
Some folks say you gotta worry about player roles and all that. Like, is a fella a starter or a sixth man? Honestly, I don’t pay that stuff much mind. If a fella can play, he can play. Put him in, let him loose. But if you’re into that fancy stuff, you can probably find it in the menus somewhere. Poke around, you’ll figure it out.

I heard some young’uns talkin’ about somethin’ called “builds” and “animations.” Sounds like a bunch of hooey to me. Just get them fellas on the court, that’s what I say. But I guess if you wanna get real fancy, you can look into that stuff. Probably some videos out there, showin’ you how to make your players all super-duper.
But the main thing, the real important thing, is gettin’ that starting lineup right. That’s your bread and butter. That’s how you set the tone for the game. So spend some time on it. Think about who plays well together, who can score, who can defend. And don’t be afraid to experiment. That’s half the fun. This ain’t real life, it’s a game. So have fun with it, you hear? And don’t let them young’uns tell you this old woman don’t know nothin’ about basketball. I been watchin’ this game longer than they been alive. I know a thing or two.
So go on now, get in there and change that NBA 2k24 MyLeague starting lineup. Show them computer fellas who’s boss. And remember, if this old woman can do it, so can you. Now git!
And one last thing, some folks talk about drafts and changing things up mid-season. Well, that’s just common sense, ain’t it? If a new fella comes along, and he’s better than what you got, you put him in! Don’t matter if he was drafted first or last. It’s all about winning, plain and simple. So keep an eye out for them new players, and don’t be afraid to shake things up. That’s how you build a dynasty, y’all.
So there you have it. Not so hard, was it? Now go on and win some games.
