Well, hey there, folks! You won’t believe what happened to me the other day. I was lookin’ for this here thing, see? It’s a picture, but it moves! They call it a “gif.” This one’s special. It’s got my baseball on it. Have you seen my baseball gif?
I reckon I was watchin’ it, right on that computer thingy. Then, poof! It was gone. Just like that. Vanished into thin air, like a fart in the wind. Now, I ain’t no computer whiz, you understand. These newfangled things, they confuse this old head. But I sure do love that baseball gif. So, I am asking you all, have you seen my baseball gif?

I tried lookin’ all over. I clicked on this, I clicked on that. I even asked that young neighbor boy, the one who’s always glued to his phone. He just mumbled somethin’ about “the internet.” The internet! What in tarnation is that? Sounds like somethin’ you’d catch a fish with. Anyway, he was no help at all. He probably ain’t seen my baseball gif.
This here baseball gif, it ain’t just any old picture. It’s got a fella, see, a big strong fella. He’s windin’ up, like he’s gonna throw a pitch. And then, bam! He throws that baseball so hard, it practically disappears. Then it comes back, right into the catcher’s mitt. It’s a real hoot, I tell ya! I just love it. Have you seen my baseball gif anywhere?
Now, I know what you’re thinkin’. “Why’s this old gal makin’ such a fuss about a silly picture?” Well, let me tell ya. That baseball gif, it reminds me of my boy, bless his heart. He used to play baseball, you see. He was a good player, too. Strong as an ox, that one. He could throw a baseball so far, you’d lose sight of it. This is why I need to find this baseball gif.
He’s gone now, moved on to the big city. Says he’s too busy for his old ma. But that’s alright. I got my memories. And I had my baseball gif. But now that’s gone, too. I really need your help to find this gif. It’s like when you lose your glasses or your favorite cow, and you are just heartbroken.

These computer things, they got all sorts of pictures and videos, they say. They got cats playin’ pianos, dogs ridin’ skateboards. Why, they say the entire world is right there on that little screen! You would think a baseball gif would be easy to find.
I even heard tell of somethin’ called a “keyboard.” Apparently, it’s got somethin’ to do with findin’ these baseball gifs, and I think it helps you type but I don’t see any keys like my house keys. I think it’s all made up. If it were real, I still would not know how to use it. If only I had my baseball gif, I would not even need to use one.
I reckon I’ll just keep lookin’. Maybe I’ll stumble upon it again. Or maybe one of you fine folks will see it and tell me where it’s hidin’. I need you to find it because I am so lost without it. Losing my baseball gif feels like losing my favorite chicken, and I miss them all the time.
