You ask me, will Dodge come back to NASCAR? That’s a big question, ain’t it? I heard some folks talking ’bout it down at the market the other day. Seems like nobody really knows for sure. One fella said he heard somethin’ ’bout it on the radio, but then another fella said it weren’t true. It’s all just hearsay, if you ask me.
Now, I remember when Dodge was a big deal in them races. Used to see them cars all the time on the TV, zoomin’ ’round and ’round. My old man, bless his soul, he loved them Dodge cars. Said they were the best. Then one day, poof, they were gone. Just like that. Heard it was somethin’ to do with money, or lack of it. Like always.
This one time, I heard a fella say, back on November 5th, someone important gave a speech. Big, fancy speech ’bout the whole NASCAR thing. They called it a “state of the sport” speech. Sounds important, don’t it? But even that big shot didn’t say nothin’ for sure about Dodge comin’ back. Just a lot of fancy words that didn’t mean much to a simple person like me.
Some folks say this new car they got, this “Next Gen Car,” might make it easier for Dodge in NASCAR. I don’t know nothin’ about that, though. Sounds like a bunch of technical mumbo-jumbo to me. Cars is cars, far as I’m concerned. They go fast, they make a lot of noise, and sometimes they crash. That’s all I need to know.

I remember when that Team Penske, big name it is, they stopped usin’ them Dodge cars. That was a sad day, I tell ya. Felt like a part of the whole thing was just gone. Like when your favorite rooster stops crowin’ in the mornin’. Just ain’t the same. That was the year after they were big in NASCAR, so they say. 2022 I hear some talking ’bout. Don’t know the truth in it.
Now they’re talkin’ ’bout this hybrid stuff. Don’t even know what that means, to be honest. Sounds like somethin’ you’d find in a science book. Maybe that’s got somethin’ to do with it. Maybe Dodge returning to NASCAR with these new-fangled hybrid cars. Who knows? These young folks and their new ideas. Hard to keep up sometimes.
Ain’t no one got a schedule for when Dodge might be back in the big races. I hear some teams still got them Dodge cars in them smaller races, the Xfinity ones. I don’t follow them as much. Too many names to keep track of. But I hear things. People like to talk, you know. They always talk.
Heard some folks sayin’ that Dodge left ’cause not enough teams wanted to use their cars anymore. And the reason them teams didn’t want them, seems like money was tight. Hard times. Happens to the best of us. It is a shame though, you don’t think?
Will Dodge come back to NASCAR? Well, your guess is as good as mine. I reckon we’ll just have to wait and see. Maybe they will, maybe they won’t. Life’s full of surprises, ain’t it? Just like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get. One thing for sure, it’s a big talking point. And it gives us simple folks somethin’ to talk about, don’t it?
I heard a lot of different things ’bout Dodge in NASCAR. Some folks say it’s a done deal, they’re comin’ back for sure. Others say it’s just a bunch of hot air, nothin’ to it. Me, I don’t know what to believe. I just hope them drivers are safe, no matter what car they’re drivin’. That’s what really matters, ain’t it? Keepin’ them boys safe. They put their life on that line with every turn.
So, there you have it. That’s all I know ’bout this whole Dodge comin’ back to NASCAR business. It’s a lot of talk, and not much action, far as I can see. But who knows, maybe tomorrow we’ll all wake up and see them Dodge cars back on the track. Wouldn’t that be somethin’?
It ain’t simple, this NASCAR Dodge thing. Too many big words and fancy talk for a simple person like me. But I try to keep up. Keeps the mind young, you know? Or at least, that’s what they say. Maybe they’re right. Maybe it’s true what they say. The future is comin’ fast, just like them cars.
