Well, let me tell ya, I heard somethin’ ’bout that NASCAR race on Sunday. Seems like folks are wonderin’ who got that pole position. You know, that fancy spot at the front of the line.
Who’s Up Front?
I heard a name, I think it was Martin somethin’. Yeah, Martin Truex Jr. That’s it! That fella, he’s gonna be leadin’ the pack. Heard he’s pretty good at this racin’ thing, got that pole for the big race on Sunday.
They say it’s a big deal, this Championship Race. Bunch of cars goin’ round and round real fast. I don’t know much ’bout it, but it sounds excitin’.

- Some fella named Joey – Second Place
- Lots of other cars – Somewhere in the back, I reckon
Now, this Joey Logano, he’s one of them Championship 4 fellas. He’s startin’ right behind Martin. Guess he’s hopin’ to catch up and win the whole dang thing. These young’uns and their need for speed!
That Phoenix Place
This race, it’s happenin’ at a place called Phoenix Raceway. I ain’t never been, but I hear it’s a big track. Lots of room for them cars to zoom around. Must be somethin’ to see, all them cars racin’ neck and neck.
This Martin fella, they say it’s his last big race. Gonna be hangin’ up his racin’ hat, or whatever they wear. Must be a special day for him, startin’ up front like that.
Fast Cars and Fancy Tracks
They got all kinds of tracks, I hear. This one in Phoenix, then there’s one called Martinsville, and another one named Kansas. That Christopher Bell fella, he got the pole in Kansas. He was drivin’ a Toyota, I think. Sounds like a Japanese car, must be fast!
And there’s this other fella, Tyler Reddick, he’s another one of them fast drivers. He won the pole at a place called Homestead-Miami. Never heard of it, but it sounds fancy.

They say this Reddick fella, he did a real fast lap. Somethin’ ’bout 32 seconds. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds mighty quick. Faster than a greased piglet, I reckon!
The Big Race in Daytona
Then there’s that Daytona 500. That’s a big one, I hear. This fella named Austin Cindric, he won that one. Must be a real good driver to win a race like that. He got the pole at some other track, too. Auto Club Speedway, I think it was called. He must like being up front!
Heard a name called Chase Elliott, too. These names, they all sound the same after a while. Must be hard to keep track of all these drivers. They just like going fast, that’s all there is to say.
All About That Speed
They go real fast, these race car drivers. Faster than anything I’ve ever seen. I don’t know how they do it, but they sure do love to go fast. Round and round they go, tryin’ to be the first one to cross that finish line.
So, there you have it. Martin Truex Jr. got the pole for Sunday’s race. That’s what I heard, anyway. Hope that clears things up for ya. Now, I gotta go tend to my chickens. They ain’t as fast as them race cars, but they sure are a lot more useful around here!
These young folks and their NASCAR, always somethin’ going on. Guess it keeps ’em entertained. Me, I’m happy with a good cup of coffee and a nice quiet afternoon. But hey, to each their own, right? That pole position, it must mean somethin’ to them. All that vroom vroom, makes my head spin just thinkin’ about it.
