Okay, so I’m a big F1 fan, like HUGE. I love everything about it – the cars, the speed, the drama, you name it. But one thing I always wanted to keep up with was the press conferences. You know, where the drivers and team principals sit down and answer questions from the media. It’s a great way to get some insight into what’s going on behind the scenes.
So, I did some digging. First, I figured I’d check out the official F1 stuff. Turns out, they used to stream the press conferences live, but that’s not a thing anymore. Bummer. Apparently, the FIA (the big bosses of F1) asked them to stop doing that. Now, they just put up recordings later. Not ideal, but better than nothing, I guess.

Then, I started looking around at different broadcasters. In the UK, there’s Channel 4 and Sky Sports F1. Channel 4 doesn’t seem to bother with the press conferences, they just do their own interviews after the races. Sky Sports F1 does show them, but it’s not always live. They often have recordings available later, though.
I also found this thing, I’m not sure if it’s still a thing, called F1 Live Grand Prix Streaming Service. It sounded promising, but it’s hard to say if it’s still around or if they even cover the press conferences. It’s all a bit unclear, to be honest.
I tried searching for specific Grand Prix events too. Like, before the Singapore Grand Prix, I looked around to see if anyone was streaming the press conference, but no luck. There was one message that said, “We’re sorry,” so I guess that means they weren’t showing it.
What I’ve Figured Out
- The official F1 folks don’t stream the press conferences live anymore, but they do post recordings.
- Sky Sports F1 in the UK shows them, but it’s a mix of live and recorded.
- Channel 4 (also UK) doesn’t show the press conferences.
- Finding a reliable place to watch them live is tricky.
Honestly, it’s a bit of a pain to find a consistent way to watch the F1 press conferences live. It seems like you have to do a lot of digging around each race weekend to see what’s available. But hey, I’m not giving up. I’ll keep searching and hopefully, I’ll find a better way to stay in the loop. If any of you guys have any tips, let me know!
