Well, let me tell ya, I been hearin’ all sorts of folks talkin’ ’bout this Amazon Prime thing lately. Especially when it comes to watchin’ football on Thursday nights. Now, some of ’em been sayin’ that the quality of the picture on Amazon Prime is just downright terrible! Can’t even see the players properly, all blurry and fuzzy-like. Makes ya wonder if they’re watchin’ football or tryin’ to catch a glimpse of a ghost. Some even been complainin’ that the commercials look better than the actual game! Ain’t that somethin’?
I ain’t no expert on these fancy gadgets and all, but when folks start talkin’ ‘bout it, I can’t help but listen. People been sayin’ that the first couple of weeks were alright, but the last few weeks have been a mess. The picture quality, well, it’s like tryin’ to watch a show through a muddy window. They say it’s been gettin’ worse, not better, week by week. Some of ’em even tried searchin’ online to see if anyone else was havin’ the same trouble. And yep, turns out it’s been a problem for a while. People been complainin’ since the end of September!

Now, I don’t know much ‘bout all that fancy internet stuff, but folks been sayin’ that if your connection ain’t good enough, then that could be the problem. They say Prime Video needs at least 1Mb/s for watchin’ stuff in regular quality and 5Mb/s if you want it to look nice and sharp. But don’t you think it’s a bit much to ask for people to have that kind of internet speed just to watch a football game? Some folks can’t even get a signal without their Wi-Fi messin’ up every few minutes!
But the real kicker, it seems, is the fact that the game is fine at first, then as soon as you settle in, the screen turns all blurry and choppy. Ain’t nobody got time for that! Imagine sittin’ there, ready to watch the big game, and all you get is a mess of colors and shapes. You can’t even see who’s got the ball! People been tryin’ to fix it, changin’ channels or refreshin’ their app, but that don’t always work. They say it’s some kinda software conflict, maybe a little bit of the internet bandwidth gettin’ tied up with somethin’ else. Who knows? I’m just an old woman, but I know when somethin’ don’t look right.
Some folks been sayin’ it’s not just Amazon’s fault. If you got other folks in your house, and they’re busy usin’ up all the internet, like downloadin’ movies or playin’ games, then that’ll mess with your football watchin’ too. That makes sense, right? You can’t be watchin’ football while your nephew’s over there streamin’ his video games. Makes the whole thing slow down, and you end up missin’ half the plays!
And let’s not even start on the people who’ve been tryin’ to watch on old devices. It’s like tryin’ to watch a big game on a tiny little box with a cracked screen. You need to be usin’ one of those fancy new smart TVs or gadgets that can handle all that data. Ain’t no point in payin’ for a subscription to watch the game if your old TV can’t keep up, right?
But even with all these excuses, there’s still a lotta folks askin’, “What’s goin’ on, Amazon?” They just want to sit down, relax, and watch the game without havin’ to fight with the TV or the internet. Is that too much to ask? I don’t think so. Maybe it’s time they fix things up, get it right so folks don’t have to keep dealin’ with blurry, slow picture quality every week.

- Make sure you got a strong enough internet connection, at least 5Mb/s if you want HD.
- If you got other folks usin’ the internet, tell ’em to lay off the downloads while the game’s on.
- Check if your device is up-to-date and can handle the stream properly.
- And if it’s real bad, maybe try changin’ the channel or refreshin’ your app.
At the end of the day, folks just want to watch the game. Ain’t that the point of all this? Hopefully, Amazon gets their act together soon. ‘Cause right now, watchin’ the game on Thursday nights is just too much of a hassle. You spend more time messin’ with the settings than enjoyin’ the game!
