Now, if y’all are interested in the history of them Brewers and Yankees, well, let me tell ya, it’s been a long and twisty road. These two teams, they been playin’ against each other since back in the day. The Milwaukee Brewers, well, they ain’t always been in Milwaukee. Nope, they used to be the Seattle Pilots ’til 1970, when a judge decided they could move and become what we know today. Now, as for the Yankees, well, they’ve been around forever and done a lot more winnin’. I mean, shoot, they got more World Series titles than you can shake a stick at – 27 of ‘em, to be exact. But let’s talk about the games between these two.
When it comes to head-to-head records, the Yankees got the upper hand. Over the years, they’ve won 217 games against the Brewers, while Milwaukee’s only managed to win 191. Now, that’s a lotta games, but don’t let that fool ya. The Brewers have had some good moments. Like, I heard that back in September 17th one year, the Brewers beat the Yankees 14-0. That’s a big ol’ beatin’, lemme tell ya. But, overall, the Yankees got the Brewers outmatched. The Yankees got their own stories to tell, too. They’re no strangers to championships, with their first World Series win back in 1923 and a lot more after that.

Now, when you look at recent games, things still ain’t lookin’ too good for the Brewers. The Yankees beat ’em 15-3 in April 2024, and it weren’t even close. But, don’t think the Brewers always just lay down. You got players like Willy Adames who can change the game. He hit a two-run homer, and Carlos Santana helped lead the Brewers to a win with three hits in one of their games against the Yankees. That was back in May, and the Brewers won 8-2. Now, that’s what you call a fightin’ chance!
But let’s not sugarcoat things. The Yankees, they been pretty tough. I reckon the Yankees have won 37 outta 59 games against the Brewers since 1993, which shows they been dominatin’. The Brewers, on the other hand, only won 22 of them games. That means if you do the math, the Yankees score more runs and win more often. But, like I said, it ain’t always easy for the Yankees. Every now and then, the Brewers will throw a curveball, and they’ll surprise ya.
When you talk about history, you can’t forget the big ol’ names the Yankees have had. Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle – them fellas are legends. The Yankees are famous, they been champions many, many times. But the Brewers, well, they got their own stars too. Jim Slaton, for instance, he’s the winningest pitcher in the Brewers’ history, with 117 wins. Not bad for a team that’s had to fight their way up the ranks.
Now, some folks like to compare these two teams by stats and numbers, but if you ask me, it’s all about how they play on the field. Stats can tell ya somethin’, sure, but it’s them game days that matter. We’ve seen the Brewers struggle against the Yankees, but they’ve also shown they got some fight in ‘em. Who knows, maybe in the future, the Brewers will get the best of the Yankees a little more often. Only time will tell.
So, in the end, them Yankees got a lotta history and a lotta wins. But them Brewers, they’ve been tryin’ their best, and who knows what’ll happen next time they meet on that field. Ain’t nothin’ set in stone when it comes to baseball, right? Just gotta wait and see what happens when the two of ’em face off again!
