Okay, so here’s the deal. I’m a bit of a NASCAR fan, right? I mean, I try to follow the season, keep up with the drivers, all that jazz. But sometimes, I just feel totally out of the loop. I’ll be watching a race, and I won’t have a clue what’s going on. It’s like, I’m missing some crucial piece of information or something.
So, I thought, “Hey, maybe there’s an app for that!” And sure enough, there’s the official NASCAR app. I figured, “Great! This is going to solve all my problems. I’ll be a NASCAR expert in no time!”

I downloaded the app, all excited. I opened it up, ready to dive into the world of racing. They had all the fancy features. The “Race Center” sounded cool, a live leaderboard, and even some news to read.
But here’s where it gets interesting. I tried to use it during a race weekend, you know, to really test it out. I was checking the leaderboard, trying to make sense of the race standings. Then I remembered that there is a points system for the race. I wanted to get the points which are from my actions. But I did not receive them.
I thought I was maybe missing something, so I submitted a request for points. I figured maybe there was just some delay, or I had to do something specific to get the points. Still, I found that I couldn’t fully utilize the app to enhance my race-watching experience. It’s like, the information was there, but it wasn’t presented in a way that made sense to me.
Besides, I remembered someone saying that Kansas and Vegas tracks are pretty similar. To a newbie like me, I could not tell the differences between tracks. As for the schedule, I know that half of the races are held in the Southeastern United States and they include tracks from around the United States now. I heard that the viewership has gone down a bit in recent years. Last year the average audience was around 2.9 million, a little less than 2022.
So, yeah, that’s my story. I tried to use the NASCAR app to enhance my racing knowledge, but it didn’t quite work out as planned. I guess I’ll just have to keep watching and learning the old-fashioned way. Maybe one day, I’ll finally figure out what’s going on. It still has potential though, maybe I just need to give it another shot. Or maybe, I just need to find a really good NASCAR guide somewhere.

- Downloaded the official NASCAR app.
- Opened the app and explored its features.
- Used it during a race to check the live leaderboard.
- Submitted a request to get points from my actions.
- Failed to get the points and enhance my race-watching experience.
- Recalled some facts about NASCAR tracks and viewership.
My Conclusion
The app has potential, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. I need to either learn how to use it properly or find a better resource for understanding NASCAR.
