Alright, so I’ve been wanting to play Baseball 9 with my buddies for a while now, but we could never figure out how to actually get into a game together. We’d all be online, but just playing our own separate games. It was a mess! So, I finally decided to get to the bottom of this.
Figuring Out Friend Mode
First, I poked around in the game’s menus. I mean, there had to be a way, right? I checked everywhere, every setting, but nothing seemed obvious. I even looked in the general settings, thinking it must be something easy and that is why i didn’t find it.

Then, I hit up some online forums. Turns out, I wasn’t the only one confused! A bunch of people were asking the same question. Finally, someone mentioned something called “Friend Mode”.
- I went back into the game.
- I open and saw the main menu of the game.
- I started the game and finally noticed the little “Friend Battle” icon on the right side, it looks like two little baseball bats crossing each other.
Setting Up the Battle
Once I clicked that, things started making sense.
So, to start you need to send friend requests. Makes sense. You gotta have friends to play with friends, duh.
- You go to the friends screen.
- Enter your buddy’s ID.
- And send that invitation, and then just wait.
I did that with my two friends, waited for them to accept (took a few minutes of texting back and forth, of course), and then we were ready to rock.
You go back to the “Friend Battle” screen, and you can see a list of your online friends. You simply tap on their name, send an invite to them, and boom, you’re in a lobby together!
Finally Playing!
From there, it’s pretty straightforward. You can customize the game a little bit, choose your teams, and then you’re playing! We had a blast finally figuring this out. It was way more fun playing against each other than just playing solo.
My biggest takeaway? Don’t be afraid to dig around online and ask for help. Sometimes the most obvious things are hidden in plain sight, and a little community knowledge can go a long way. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a rematch to win!
