Well, let me tell you about this Big 10 Baseball Tournament thing, ya know, the one they’re havin’ in 2024. They’re callin’ it the “Big Ten Conference Baseball Tournament Presented by *,” fancy, huh? Sounds like somethin’ them city folks cooked up. Anyways, it’s gonna be held in Omaha, Nebraska, at that Charles Schwab Field place. Omaha, that’s way out there, ain’t it? Never been myself, too far for these old bones.
Now, if you’re itchin’ to go, you gotta get yourself some tickets. They say you can buy ’em from Ticketmaster or at the box office, whatever them things are. Sounds complicated. Back in my day, you just showed up and paid at the gate, simple as that. But I guess times have changed. And get this, each ticket gets you into all the games played that day. So, you can sit there all day watchin’ them fellas swingin’ bats and throwin’ balls, if that’s your cup of tea.

The games are gonna be played from May 21st to May 26th, that’s what I heard. But don’t hold me to it, you know how these things go, always changin’ schedules and such. They got game times, but they say they’re just “approximate.” Means they might start late, or early, who knows? It ain’t like my old clock on the wall, that one’s always on time, even if it’s a bit slow these days.
They talk about “seating charts” and “seat views.” Sounds like a whole lotta fuss to me. When I went to watch the local games, you just sat wherever you could find a spot. Sometimes on a bench, sometimes on the grass, didn’t matter none. But I guess these fancy tournaments are different, gotta have everything all organized and proper.
- First, you gotta find where to buy these tickets. Ticketmaster, they say. Sounds like a big store or somethin’.
- Then, you gotta figure out which day you wanna go. They got games all week long.
- And then there’s the price. They don’t say how much, but you can bet it ain’t cheap. Everything’s expensive these days.
If you’re lookin’ for a good deal, they say you should check out SeatGeek. Never heard of it, but apparently, they got deals on tickets. Maybe it’s like a bargain bin, where you can find things cheaper. Worth a look, I suppose, if you’re tryin’ to save a few pennies.
Now, I ain’t much of a baseball fan myself. I prefer watchin’ the chickens peck in the yard, more entertainin’ if you ask me. But these young folks, they love their sports. Runnin’ around, hittin’ balls, makin’ a big fuss. To each their own, I say.
They’re even talking about championship games and such. Seems like a big deal to some folks. They get all worked up, cheerin’ and hollerin’, like the world’s gonna end if their team don’t win. I just don’t get it. But hey, it keeps ’em busy, I suppose. Better than gettin’ into trouble, like some of them youngins do these days.

So, if you’re plannin’ on goin’ to this Big 10 Baseball Tournament in 2024, make sure you get your tickets early, they say they sell out fast. And bring a cushion, them bleachers ain’t comfortable, I tell ya. And maybe some snacks too, those concession stand prices will rob you blind.
Remember, it’s in Omaha, at that Charles Schwab Field place, May 21st to 26th. That’s a long ways away, both in distance and time, but time flies when you get old, let me tell ya. One minute you’re young and spry, the next you’re wonderin’ where the years went.
And one last thing, don’t forget your hat! The sun can be brutal in May, especially in a place like Omaha. You don’t wanna end up lookin’ like a lobster, all red and burnt. Take it from an old lady who knows a thing or two about sun safety. Now, I gotta go feed the chickens. They’re probably wonderin’ where their supper is.
One more thing I almost forgot! They had this same tournament in 2020 too. Seems like they do it every year, these fellas and their baseball games. I tell ya, they got more energy than a squirrel in a nut factory.
