Oh, let me tell you ‘bout them Minnesota Twins and their no-hitters. Ain’t that a fancy term? No-hitters, they are when a pitcher don’t let nobody hit the ball. Now, them Twins, they been around a long while, started off as the Washington Senators way back in 1901. Can you believe it?

Now, in all them years, they got seven no-hitters under their belt. Ain’t that something? First one was thrown by Walter Johnson way back in 1920. Folks still talk ‘bout that game, you know. He was a mighty fine pitcher, that Johnson.
Then there was Dean Chance, who had a game on August 6, 1967, against the Boston Red Sox. He pitched real good, perfect for five whole innings! Folks were on the edge of their seats, I tell ya.
Don’t forget Scott Erickson, now. He made history too, pitching the first no-hitter at the Metrodome in 1994. The crowd went wild! I reckon they all jumped up and down like little kids.
Let’s not skip over Francisco Liriano in 2011. He had a real good game too, and fans were happy as clams. Each one of these no-hitters is like a shiny jewel in the Twins’ crown, you see.

- Walter Johnson: 1920
- Dean Chance: 1967
- Scott Erickson: 1994
- Francisco Liriano: 2011
Now, you might wonder how many home runs they hit too. Sam Rice, he got the most hits for the Twins, a total of 2,889. Ain’t that impressive? And Kirby Puckett, he comes right after with 2,304 hits. These fellas really knew how to swing that bat!
The Twins play in the American League Central division, and folks come from all over to watch ‘em. They got a rich history, and even if some of them games was a long time ago, they still remember it like it was yesterday. It’s all about the love for the game, you know.
So, if you ever get the chance, maybe go see the Twins play. You might witness another no-hitter! That’d be something to tell the grandkids, wouldn’t it?
