Alright, so you wanna watch that Thursday night football, huh? It ain’t that hard, even for an old woman like me. Let me tell ya, it’s all about them channels on that Dish thingamajig.
First off, ya gotta have Dish Network. If ya don’t have it, well, then ya ain’t gonna be watchin’ no football on it, that’s for sure. It’s like tryin’ to bake a cake without flour, ain’t gonna happen.

Now, with Dish, they say you got a whole bunch of channels. Hundreds, they say. I ain’t counted ’em myself, too many for my old eyes. But they got all sorts of stuff, including that football you’re after. Thursday Night Football, they call it.
They say the main places to look are ESPN and your local channels, like ABC and CBS. That’s what the young’uns told me. “ESPN,” they say, “and your local ABC and CBS.” Sounds fancy, but it just means you gotta flip through them channels ’til ya find the game. It ain’t rocket science, even I can do it.
- ESPN: That’s a big one, they say. Lots of sports on there, so it’s a good bet for football.
- ABC: Another one of them big channels. They show all sorts of stuff, including the football sometimes.
- CBS: This one’s like ABC, they got a bit of everything. Gotta check here too.
Now, if you got that Hopper thingy, that DVR thing, they say it makes it easier. Records the games and all that. I don’t mess with that fancy stuff, too complicated for me. I just flip through the channels ’til I find the game, like I said.
But listen here, sometimes them channels change. They move things around, ya know? So, what was on channel five last week might be on channel ten this week. It’s like tryin’ to find a lost chicken in the yard, always gotta keep lookin’. So, if ya don’t see it right away, don’t give up. Keep flippin’ through them channels.
And another thing, they say you can “stream” the games now too. On your phone or your computer or somethin’. I don’t know nothin’ about that. Sounds like magic to me. I stick to the TV, it’s easier for my old brain.

So, to recap, ya need Dish Network, ya gotta look on ESPN, ABC, and CBS, and ya gotta be patient. It ain’t always easy, but it’s worth it to watch them boys runnin’ around and throwin’ that ball. Even an old woman like me enjoys it sometimes.
And remember, if you can’t find it, ask someone younger. They always know how to work these newfangled gadgets. They’ll get ya set up in no time. They’re good at that sort of thing.
Now, go on and find that game. And don’t forget to make some popcorn. Football ain’t the same without popcorn, ya know?
One last thing, if you really can’t find it on them channels I told ya about, maybe go on that internet thing. The young’uns say ya can find the “schedule” there. Tells ya what time the game is and what channel it’s on. But be careful on that internet, it’s a wild place.
Alright, I think that’s all I know about watchin’ that Thursday Night Football on Dish. Hope it helps ya out. Now, go enjoy the game!
