Alright, so you wanna know about that car racin’ lineup, huh? The one for today, that NASCAR thing? Okay, okay, I’ll tell ya what I know. Don’t expect no fancy talk, though. I ain’t got time for that.
First off, they got this big race, see? It’s like the big finale, the championship. And they gotta figure out who starts where. That’s the lineup. Like who’s in front, who’s in the back, all that. It ain’t just some random thing, ya know. They gotta qualify, or sometimes they use points, or whatever. Makes my head spin, all the rules they got.

Now, for today’s race, I heard tell some fellas are up front. Names like… uh… Martin somethin’-somethin’, and Joey somebody. Martin Truex Jr., that’s it! And Joey Logano. They say these two are startin’ at the very front. Guess they’re pretty good, huh? They’re fightin’ for that championship, so they gotta be somethin’ special.
But it ain’t just them two, no sirree. There’s a whole bunch of other fellas racin’ too. They got this Ryan Blaney fella, and William Byron, and let’s not forget Tyler Reddick. All them fellas are in the mix for the championship. It’s a real nail-biter, they say. I wouldn’t know, I ain’t bitin’ no nails over no car race.
So, how do they decide who starts where? Well, like I said, sometimes they race before the race. They call it qualifyin’. Fastest car gets to start first, and so on and so forth. But sometimes, if it’s the championship, they might use points. You know, how good they did all year. That’s what I heard, anyways. Don’t quote me on that.
And where can you watch this thing? They say it’s on TV, that NBC channel. And if you got that fancy Fubo thing, you can watch it on that too. I wouldn’t know, I got my old TV, gets me all the channels I need, mostly soap operas and the news.
- Here’s some of them drivers:
- Martin Truex Jr.
- Joey Logano
- Ryan Blaney
- William Byron
- Tyler Reddick
Now, I also heard about some other race, somewhere in Charlotte. They call it the Bank of America Roval 400. Sounded fancy. That one’s on NBC too, they said. And they got Bubba Wallace startin’ up front in that one, or so I heard. And some other fella, Carson somethin’. Carson Hocevar, yeah that’s it. And Chase Briscoe. But that ain’t today’s race, that was some other time, I reckon. Too many races, if you ask me.

Then there’s that Cook Out Southern 500 down in Darlington. They got Bubba Wallace startin’ first in that one too. Guess he’s a pretty good driver. And that Carson Hocevar fella, he’s startin’ second. And then there’s Chase Briscoe. Seems like these fellas are racin’ all over the place.
So, the big race today, the championship one? It’s on at 3:00 PM, they say. Eastern time, whatever that means. I’ll be watchin’ my stories, but you can tune in if you want. Just remember, Martin Truex Jr. and Joey Logano, they’re up front. And Ryan Blaney, William Byron and Tyler Reddick are chasin’ them, it sounds like. The rest of ‘em? Well, they’re racin’ too, I guess. It’s gonna be a long race, lots of cars goin’ ‘round and ‘round. Hope they don’t crash into each other too much.
That’s about all I know. Don’t expect me to remember all them names and numbers. I’m too old for that. Just turn on your TV and watch the race if you’re so interested. And don’t forget to cheer for whoever you like, I ain’t got no dog in this fight.
