Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this tennis match, the one with Darderi and Cerundolo. Don’t rightly know their first names, too fancy for me. Anyways, it’s gonna be a good one, I reckon.
Folks been talkin’ about who’s gonna win. Heard some say this Darderi fella, he’s got a good chance. They say he’s been playin’ strong, hittin’ the ball hard. But then there’s Cerundolo, a young whippersnapper, they say. Runs around like a chicken with its head cut off, but gets the job done sometimes.

- Darderi’s got the power, they say. Hits it like he’s tryin’ to knock the fuzz off the ball.
- Cerundolo, he’s quick on his feet. Like a jackrabbit, dartin’ all over the place.
Now, I ain’t no expert, but I’ve seen a few tennis matches in my time. Used to watch ’em on that little box in the corner, the one with the rabbit ears. Used to have to fiddle with them just to get a decent picture. But I digress.
They say these boys have played each other before, a few times. Don’t remember who won, but it must’ve been close if they’re still playin’ each other. Probably went back and forth, like a seesaw. One wins one, the other wins the next.
This match, it’s in some place called Santiago. Never been there myself, but I hear it’s far away. Probably got them fancy courts, all smooth and green. Not like the dirt patch we used to play on back home.
What’s gonna make the difference, you ask? Well, I reckon it’s who wants it more. Who’s gonna dig deep, fight for every point. Tennis is a mental game, they say. Gotta keep your head in it, not let the other fella get under your skin.
I hear they got folks makin’ predictions, puttin’ money on who’s gonna win. Gambling, they call it. Never understood it myself. Seems like a good way to lose your hard-earned pennies. But folks will do what folks will do.

Some say Darderi’s the favorite. Got the odds in his favor, whatever that means. Guess they think he’s gonna win. But don’t count out Cerundolo, I say. He’s young, got nothin’ to lose. Could surprise ya.
I’ll be watchin’ from my chair, if I can figure out how to turn on the telly. Gonna see who’s got the guts, who’s gonna come out on top. Win or lose, they’re both good players, I reckon. Put on a good show for the folks.
It all comes down to that little yellow ball, don’t it? Who can hit it harder, who can put it where the other fella can’t reach it. Simple as that, really. Just gotta keep your eye on the ball, like they say.
So, who’s gonna win, Darderi or Cerundolo? Wish I knew. If I did, I’d be rich! But like I said, I ain’t no expert. Just an old woman watchin’ a tennis match. We’ll see what happens, won’t we? May the best man win, I always say.
