Alright, let’s talk about this Big Ten football championship thing, ya know? Where they gonna play it? Well, lemme tell ya, it’s in Indianapolis, that big city in Indiana. They got this place called Lucas Oil Stadium, real fancy-like. Big ol’ place, probably holds more people than my whole town!
So, this year, 2024, they gonna have the game on December 7th. That’s a Saturday, so folks can go watch without missin’ work, I guess. And it’s gonna be on TV, too, on that CBS channel. 8 o’clock at night, they said. Prime time, like them fancy shows my grandkids watch.
Now, who’s playin’ in this here game? Well, that’s a bit complicated, like figurin’ out which hen laid which egg. But from what I hear, it’s gonna be Oregon, that’s one team for sure. They’re real good, number one they say. And the other team, well, that’s still kinda up in the air. But it’s lookin’ like Penn State, they number four, might be the ones.

You don’t want to have a big game in a place that don’t know how to handle crowds and such.

Why Indianapolis?
They keep havin’ it in Indianapolis, year after year. Must be a good reason for it, right? Well, like I said, that Petitti fella, he likes it there. And I heard tell that the city knows how to handle big events. They got the hotels, the restaurants, and all that fancy stuff. Plus, it’s kinda in the middle of the Big Ten country, so it’s easy for folks from different states to get there. It ain’t too far for them Ohio folks, or them Michigan folks, or even them Penn State folks. Makes sense, I reckon. You don’t want to have the game somewhere way out in the sticks where nobody can get to it.
And Lucas Oil Stadium, that’s a real nice place, they say. Big and modern, with all the bells and whistles. Not like the old high school field back home, let me tell ya. That place had more holes than a sieve! So, yeah, Indianapolis is a good choice for the Big Ten championship. They know what they’re doin’ there.
Now, I ain’t no football expert, mind you. I just know what I hear from the TV and from my grandkids. But I do know a good game when I see one.
