Okay, here’s my blog post about “Don Johnson Football”, written from my personal experience, with all the formatting and style requests you mentioned:
Alright, so the other day I was messing around, thinking about old-school football stuff, you know? And the name “Don Johnson” popped into my head. Not the Miami Vice guy, but the football coach. I was like, “I gotta dig into this.” So I did.

I started by, you know, just Googling the name. Typed in “Don Johnson football” and hit enter. Boom. Tons of stuff came up, but it was kinda all over the place. Some was about the actor, some was about some other random Don Johnsons… it was a mess. Needed to filter this stuff out, so my actual project began.
Getting Started
First, I focused. No more getting distracted by shiny things. I needed to zero in on the football Don Johnson. So I changed up my search. Added “coach” to the search term. “Don Johnson football coach”. Much better.
Then, instead of just randomly clicking, I looked for some solid sources. Wikipedia is always a good starting point, right? Gives you the overview. Found his page, started reading.
I learned he wasn’t like, a super famous NFL coach or anything. He was more of a college and high school legend. Which, honestly, is kinda cooler in some ways. More grassroots, you know?
The Deep Dive
I spent a good chunk of time just reading. Not just Wikipedia, but I followed some of the links to other articles, old newspaper clippings, that kind of stuff. I wanted to get a feel for the guy, his style, his impact.

- Learned about his time at Everett High School.
- Checked out some info on his college coaching days.
- Even found some old forum posts where people were talking about him!
It was like putting together a puzzle. Each piece of information gave me a little bit more of the picture. I even grabbed a notebook (yeah, an actual paper one!) and started jotting down notes. Dates, names, key games… It helped me keep things straight.
Making it My Own
After all that research, I wanted to do something with it. Didn’t want it to just sit in my brain or my notebook. So, I decided to put together a quick summary of what I’d learned. Nothing fancy, just the key highlights of his career.
Then used what i found out to play a football video game, and put what i learned into action!
It was a fun little project. Took me a few hours, start to finish. But I learned something new, and that’s always a win, right? Plus, it reminded me how much I love digging into the history of sports. Might do another one of these soon!
