Alright, so you wanna know what channel is NASCAR qualifying on, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, it ain’t always the same, you know? These things, they change like the weather. One day it’s on one channel, the next day, poof, it’s gone somewhere else. Drives me nuts, I tell ya!
I remember last time, I wanted to watch that there…what was it called? The YellaWood 500, yeah, that’s it. Took me forever to find it. Turns out, it was on some channel called NBC Sports, and another one, USA Network. Never heard of ’em before, but there they were. And for the folks over in the UK, they said it was on somethin’ called Viaplay. Fancy name, huh? And them Canadians, they got it on TSN. See? All over the place!

Then there was that other race, the… shoot, I can’t remember the name. Martinsville Speedway, that’s right. They had the qualifying on a Saturday, November 2nd, but darned if I can remember what channel it was on. You gotta pay attention to these things, or you’ll miss it. It’s like trying to catch a greased pig, I swear.
Now, if you’re talkin’ about that Chicago street race, yeah, I saw somethin’ about that. They said the qualifying was at 12:30 p.m., somethin’ like that. And it was on USA Network again. Seems like they like that channel a lot. And on the radio, you could hear it on SiriusXM. Fancy stuff, all this technology.
- Sometimes they show it, sometimes they don’t. I read somewhere that for one race, they didn’t even put the qualifying on TV! Can you believe that? Just plain mean, if you ask me. Folks wanna watch, and they just say, “Nope, not gonna show it.” Hmph.
- Other times, it’s on all sorts of channels. Like I said, NBC, USA, TSN, all them fancy names. You just gotta keep your eyes peeled and your ears open.
- And don’t forget the radio! Sometimes, that’s the only way you can hear what’s going on. SiriusXM, they call it. Sounds like somethin’ from outer space.
Then there was the Bank of America ROVAL 400, down in Charlotte. They had the qualifying on a Saturday too, October 12th. But again, who knows what channel it was on? It’s enough to make your head spin.
And that championship race, now that’s a big one. They said it was on NBC in the US, and TSN in Canada. And you could even watch it online, on somethin’ called Fubo. They even give you a free trial, so you can watch it for free, if you’re quick enough. Or there’s that Peacock thing, too. So many choices, it’s a wonder anyone can figure it out.
And I heard tell that one time, qualifying was on November 9th. But what year? Who knows! They don’t tell you these things, you gotta dig around and figure it out yourself. And by the time you find it, the race is probably over!

So, the long and short of it is, there ain’t no easy answer to your question. It depends on the race, the day, and who knows what else. Best thing to do is check the TV guide, or look online, or ask your neighbor. Someone’s bound to know somethin’. And if all else fails, just turn on the radio and listen. It ain’t the same as watchin’, but it’s better than nothin’.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go find my glasses. All this talk about channels and dates has got me all mixed up.
