Well now, lemme tell ya ’bout this here “unblocked backyard baseball”. Sounds like a whole lotta fun, don’t it? Kids these days, always findin’ new ways to play.
What’s it all about, you ask?

It’s like this, see. It’s a game, a baseball game, but not like the ones you see on the TV with all them fancy fellers. This here’s backyard baseball, like the kind the young’uns play in the dirt lot down the road, but on your ‘puter or somethin’. They got this thing called a “Chrome extension” they use, makes it so’s you can play it whenever you want, no matter what.
- It’s free, so that’s good. Don’t cost nothin’ to play.
- You get to make your own team. Pick your own players and all.
- Then you play against other teams. Just like real baseball, but, you know, on the ‘puter.
I heard tell it’s one of them “retro” games. Means it’s been around a while, I reckon. Back in 2002, they had it on somethin’ called a “GBA”. Don’t ask me what that is. Sounds fancy, though. Now you can play it online, which is mighty convenient, I tell ya.
It’s a “tournament”, they say.
That means you’re tryin’ to be the best, see? Win all your games and be the champion of the backyard. Sounds like a good time to me. Kids need somethin’ to keep ’em busy, out of trouble.
Now, they also got somethin’ called “Backyard Football”, too. Same kinda thing, I guess, but with football instead of baseball. And get this, they even got these famous hockey players in another game, but when they were kids! Names like Yzerman and Modano. Big shots, I hear. Guess everyone starts somewhere, even in the backyard.

Playin’ with friends, that’s the best part.
This here game, they fixed it up so you can play with your friends online. Just like you was all in the same backyard together. You gotta register your “coach name”, whatever that is, and then you’re off and runnin’. They even got a “setup guide”, so’s even an old lady like me could probably figure it out… maybe.
This online playin’ thing, it reminds me of when the kids used to get together and play in the field. They’d be out there all day, yellin’ and laughin’. Now they just sit in front of them screens, but at least they’re playin’ together, sort of. It’s different, but it’s somethin’.
It’s all ’bout havin’ fun, ain’t it?
Whether it’s in a real backyard or a virtual one, baseball’s baseball. And football’s football. And hockey’s… well, you get the picture. It’s ’bout teamwork, and competition, and just plain havin’ a good time. So, if you got some young’uns, or even if you’re just young at heart, give this here “unblocked backyard baseball” a try. Might just surprise ya.

It sure sounds like a hoot, and from what I gather, it’s a good way to pass the time and maybe even make some new friends online. Just remember to take a break now and then, get some fresh air, and maybe even go outside and play some real baseball, too. Nothin’ beats the real thing, but this here online stuff ain’t half bad either.
Keeps the kids happy, that’s what matters.
And who knows, maybe us old folks could even get in on the fun. Might need a little help figurin’ out all them buttons and screens, but I reckon we could learn. After all, we used to play backyard baseball ourselves, back in the day. Just didn’t have no fancy ‘puters or “Chrome extensions” back then. We had dirt and bats and balls, and that was good enough for us.
