Okay, so, you guys want to know who won the F1 Esports in 2023? Let me tell you, it was a wild ride. I was glued to the screen the whole time, seriously.
First off, I gotta say, I’ve been following this stuff for years. I remember back in 2017, that was the first time, and only about 63,000 gamers took part in it. But, from there I started to follow every season of the game. So, this time I thought it would be easy to know the results. But I was wrong.

So, the 2023 season kicked off, and I was pumped. I spent some time digging through the web to know the related information. I found that there were 12 rounds of racing across three events. And there was this massive $750,000 prize pool that was really tempting. I even thought to participate in the game!
I started watching, and right away, this guy Frederik Rasmussen from Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing was killing it. Turns out, he’d been the runner-up for like, four years in a row! I felt for the guy.
Then there were these other drivers, Thomas Ronhaar and Bari Broumand, also doing amazing. It was a total nail-biter between them. I remember shouting at my computer a few times, not gonna lie.
- First Race: Watched the whole thing live. Rasmussen was in the lead, but Ronhaar was right on his tail.
- Mid-Season: Broumand started to pick up speed. Ferrari was looking strong. Man, they got the constructor’s honors, so it is understandable.
- Final Race: I was on the edge of my seat. It all came down to this.
I also found something interesting. This guy Jarno Opmeer, he won the championship in 2020 and 2021. It was a pity that he didn’t get the champion in 2023. Anyway, he is still my hero.
The Results
In the end, after all the dust settled, Frederik Rasmussen finally got his win! He took the Driver’s Championship. I was so happy for him, after all those years of almost making it. And Bari Broumand helped his team, Scuderia Ferrari Esports, win the team title. The 2023 season was really wonderful!

But get this, after the season, instead of getting more hype, things kinda slowed down. But there were all these community things, like PSGL, that kept the excitement going, which was cool.
Honestly, it was an amazing season to watch. I can’t wait to see what happens next year. Because Formula 1 has announced that The F1 Sim Racing World Championship will return in the new year. It is really exciting, right?
