Alright, let’s talk about this… this… F1 Red Bull thingamajig, the simulator, you know? Them fancy race car folks got themselves a new toy. Heard it costs a pretty penny, like, a whole lot of money. More money than I ever seen in my whole life, that’s for sure.
What is this F1 Red Bull Simulator Anyway?

Well, from what I gather, it ain’t a real car. It’s like… a big video game for grown-up men who like to drive real fast. They sit in it, and it feels like they’re racin’ on a real track, but they ain’t goin’ nowhere. It shakes and moves and makes all sorts of noises, just like a real race car. They call it a “simulator” ’cause it simulates, ya know, makes it feel real.
I saw somethin’ about it costin’ like, $136,000! Can you believe that? For somethin’ that don’t even go nowhere! My old tractor cost a whole lot less and it actually plows the fields. These city folk, they got more money than sense, I tell ya.
- They say it helps the drivers learn the tracks. I guess they can practice without wearin’ out the real cars and tires. Makes sense, I suppose. Saves ’em money in the long run, maybe? Though with that price tag, I don’t see how.
- And it ain’t just for the real racers, seems like regular folks with deep pockets can get one too, or somethin’ like it. Playseat, they call it. Looks like a fancy chair with a steering wheel attached. Probably costs a small fortune too. Everything these racing fellas touch turns to gold, I reckon.
Why Do They Need a Simulator?
Now, I ain’t no racer, but even I can see why they might need one of these fancy machines. Them race tracks ain’t just straight lines, ya know. They got twists and turns, ups and downs. And they change all the time. So, the drivers gotta learn ’em good, or they’ll crash and burn. And crashin’ and burnin’ costs a whole lot more than $136,000, I betcha.
So, they sit in this simulator and practice, practice, practice. They learn where to brake, where to turn, where to speed up. They get the feel of the track, even though they ain’t really there. It’s like… like learnin’ to dance before you go to the dance hall, I guess. You don’t wanna step on nobody’s toes, do ya?

Is it Worth the Money?
Well, that depends on who you ask, I reckon. For them rich racing fellas, maybe it is. They win races, they get more money, they get more sponsors. It’s a whole big business, this racing thing. And $136,000 is just a drop in the bucket for them, I suppose.
But for folks like me, well, we can’t even imagine spendin’ that much money on somethin’ that ain’t gonna put food on the table or keep the roof over our heads. We’d rather have a good, reliable truck or a tractor that’ll last for years. That’s what’s worth the money to us.
It Ain’t Just About the Money, Though
Now, hold on a minute. It ain’t just about the money, is it? These fellas, they love to race. They got a passion for it. And this simulator, well, it helps them be better at what they love. It’s like… like a good fishin’ rod for a fisherman, or a good set of tools for a carpenter. It helps them do their job better, and it brings them joy. And ain’t that what life is all about, findin’ somethin’ you love and doin’ it well?

So, even though I don’t understand spendin’ that much money on a fancy video game, I can appreciate the passion and the dedication. Them racers, they put their heart and soul into it, and that’s somethin’ to admire. Even if they are a little bit crazy.
Anyways, that’s my take on this F1 Red Bull Simulator. A whole lotta money for somethin’ that don’t go nowhere. But hey, if it helps ‘em win races and makes ‘em happy, then who am I to judge? I’ll stick to my old tractor, thank you very much. It might not be fast, but it gets the job done, and it didn’t cost me no $136,000, that’s for sure.
And that ride height thingamajig? Sounds like they’re tryin’ to cheat, if you ask me. But what do I know? I’m just an old woman who knows a thing or two about hard work and common sense. And common sense tells me that this simulator is a fancy toy for rich folks, and nothing more. But hey, at least it keeps them young fellas entertained and out of trouble. Though probably not out of much trouble, considering how fast they drive them cars.
This Max Verstappen fella, he seems like a good driver, though. Always winnin’. Maybe that simulator is the key to it all. Or maybe he’s just got a heavy foot. Who knows? At least that’s what I get from listening to the radio while doing my chores.
