My Quest for NFL on Firestick
First, I grabbed my Firestick remote and started poking around. I wanted something simple, you know? No complicated setups.
The Official Route (Spoiler: It’s Limited)
I checked out the official NFL app first. Figured that’d be the easiest, right?
- I downloaded the NFL app from the Amazon Appstore. Pretty easy, just like any other app.
- I opened it up and… well, it was mostly highlights and news. Not live games. Bummer!
Turns out, the official app is more for keeping up with scores and stuff, not watching full, live games. It is great for replay, I have to admit that.
Exploring Other Options
Since the official app was a no-go for live games, I started looking at other services. I’d heard of a few, like YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, and Sling TV.
- YouTube TV: Downloaded it, signed up for a trial. It had some NFL games, but I wanted more.

My Final(ish) Setup

It’s not perfect, and sometimes I have to switch between apps depending on which game I want to watch. But hey, I’m getting my football fix on my Firestick, and that’s what matters!
