Alright, listen up y’all, let me tell ya ’bout this big shindig they got goin’ on down in Wynwood, yeah, that’s right, Wynwood. They callin’ it the “wynwood f1 fan experience” or somethin’ fancy like that. Sounds like a whole lotta hoopla, but lemme tell ya, it’s somethin’ else!
So, this ain’t just any ol’ thing, mind you. It’s all about them fast cars, the ones that go zoom-zoom, you know, the Formula 1 cars. They got this big race comin’ to Miami, the “Formula 1 Crypto Miami Grand Prix 2024,” they sayin’. And these folks over at SWARM, they puttin’ on a big party for all the fans, they callin’ it “Racing Fan Fest”.
Now, what’s this “Racing Fan Fest” all about? Well, it’s free, that’s what I like to hear! And it’s all about them F1 fans, you know, the folks who love watchin’ them cars go fast. They started this thing back in 2022, right here in Miami, and it’s been a hit ever since. This year, it’s happenin’ durin’ “RACE WEEK 2024,” so you know it’s gonna be big.
- When’s it happenin’? They sayin’ it’s from May 3rd to May 5th. Three whole days of fun!
- What’s there to do? Oh, honey, they got all sorts of stuff. They got them “high-performance installations,” whatever that means, sounds fancy though. And they got food, lots of food, and drinks too. And music, they got a “live DJ set,” that means somebody playin’ music real loud, gets ya movin’ and groovin’.
- Who’s puttin’ it on? Like I said, it’s them SWARM folks, and they teamed up with Red Bull. Yeah, that drink company, they into them race cars too, go figure.
They got this thing called the “Red Bull Fan Zone,” and that’s free too. Sounds like a good place to hang out, maybe grab a bite to eat, listen to some music, and watch them cars on the big TV screens, ’cause they got them too.
Now, if you wanna see the cars up close, you gotta get yourself a ticket, I reckon. They got these “grandstands,” the South Grandstand and the North Grandstand. One’s for seein’ the cars go around a sharp corner, and the other one’s for seein’ ’em speed up. Both got them big TV screens, so you don’t miss nothin’. And they got them bleacher seats, you know, like at the football games, nothin’ fancy.
And if you just wanna soak it all in, they got this “3-day general admission Campus Pass.” You can just wander around, feel the energy, hear the roar of them engines, it’s somethin’ else, I tell ya.
They say the sprint race is on Saturday at 5 pm, Miami time, that’s noon for them folks over in England. Then they got somethin’ called “qualifying” at 9 pm, that’s 4 pm in England, to see who gets to start where in the big race on Sunday.
And the big race, the “Miami Grand Prix,” that’s on Sunday at 9 pm, Miami time, or 4 pm England time. They gonna turn on them lights, and them cars gonna go flyin’ around that track. It’s gonna be a sight to see, y’all.
