Okay, so the other day I was watching an NBA game with my kid, and he suddenly asked, “Dad, how tall is the hoop?” I realized I’d been watching basketball for years and never actually gave it much thought. So, I decided to find out, and it turned into a little project.
Started with a Quick Search
First, I grabbed my phone and did a quick search. I mean, that’s what everyone does, right? I wanted a fast answer, and I wanted to use offical NBA sources.
Figuring Out the Details
It wasn’t enough to just know the height. I wanted to be sure, you know? So I started digging deeper.
- I checked different websites.
- I made sure what I was looking at was official NBA measurements, not just any random court.
Putting It All Together
After searching and taking some notes about it, I can answer clearly. The height is 10 feet. It is measured from the ground to the top rim of the hoop.
It was a fun little investigation. I learned a fact I’d overlooked for years, and I got to share the process with my kid, which was pretty cool. Turns out, sometimes the simplest questions lead to the most interesting little adventures!
