So, it was last weekend. The weather was so cool that I decided to go out to play baseball with my friends in the park. It was sunny when we started playing. But suddenly, the clouds gathered, and it started to rain. Of course, the game stopped, and I got soaking wet, as did my poor baseball glove.
When I got home, I realized that I needed to dry my baseball glove as soon as possible. Otherwise, it will be ruined.

- Shake off the water
The first thing I did was to shake off the water as much as I could. I swung my glove in the air a few times to get rid of the water.
- Clean it with a towel
After I had shaken off the water, I took a clean, dry towel and wiped down my glove. I made sure to get into all the cracks and crevices to get rid of the dirt and water.
- Turn the glove inside out
I thought it might be faster to dry if I turn the glove inside out. I don’t know whether this helps or not, but it won’t be any harm to do this, so I just turned my glove inside out.
- Place it in a dry place
I thought about putting it near the fire, but I was afraid that might be too hot and damage the glove. I ended up placing it on the radiator in my living room. This provides a gentle heat that is perfect for drying.
- Waiting
I don’t like waiting. But there is nothing I can do. Drying a wet baseball glove is a waiting game. I knew that it would take several hours for my glove to dry completely, so I just had to be patient. It took almost an entire afternoon to dry the glove completely.

After it dried, I put it back on and started playing with it to reshape it. Now, my glove is ready for the next game! That’s what I did to save my wet baseball glove. If you love playing baseball, I recommend you buy another pair of gloves in case it rains next time.
