Howdy there, y’all! Let’s jaw about watchin’ that there Alabama football game today. Folks been buzzin’ about it like bees ’round a honey pot, so I figgered I’d spell it out for ya, plain and simple, like how we talk ’round here. No fancy words, just good ol’ common sense.
First off, you gotta know when the game’s on. That’s the most important thing, ain’t it? You don’t wanna be missin’ kickoff, fiddlin’ with the TV or whatnot. They say it’s gonna be on at, lemme see now… kickoff time is 4:15 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 5. That’s what the feller on the radio said, and he’s usually right about these things. He also said somethin’ about Central time, but that jus’ confuses me, so we’ll stick with that Eastern time, ya hear?

Now, where they playin’ at? Ah, this time they’re playin’ at the FirstBank Stadium in Nashville. That’s a far piece from here, but that don’t matter none. We gonna watch it on that there magic picture box, same as always.
So, how you gonna watch it? Well, that depends on what kinda contraptions you got. If you got one of them fancy cable deals, you’re probably all set. Just flip through the channels ’til you find the game. They said somethin’ about SECN+, whatever that is. Sounds like one of them fancy channels to me. If you’re like me and jus’ got the regular ol’ TV, well, you might be outta luck. But don’t you fret none, there’s always other ways.
- You could go over to a neighbor’s house. Miz Henderson next door, she’s got that fancy cable. Maybe if you bring over some of that apple pie you baked, she’ll let you watch.
- Or you could head on down to the local bar. They always got the game on, and you can have a nice cold drink while you’re at it. Just don’t drink too much ya hear.
- And if all else fails, you can always listen to it on the radio. It ain’t the same as watchin’, but it’s better than nothin’. The radio feller always makes it sound excitin’ anyways.
Now, let’s talk about them Alabama Crimson Tide fellers. They’re pretty good this year, from what I hear. Folks say they got a real good chance of winnin’ it all. But I don’t pay too much attention to that stuff. I just like watchin’ ’em run around and throw that there pigskin. It’s good entertainment, ya know? I heard they pass the ball real good too, somethin’ ‘bout 17.3 assists per game. Don’t know what that means but it sounds like they share the ball nice and don’t be hoggin’ it all for themselves.
And who they playin’ against? Well, today they’re playin’ against the Vanderbilt team. I don’t know much about them fellers, but I reckon they’ll give Alabama a good run for their money. It ain’t a football game if it ain’t a little bit of a fight, right? Other times they might be playin’ against teams like Mercer Bears or Oklahoma, but that ain’t today’s game. You gotta pay attention to who they’re playin’ so you don’t go cheerin’ for the wrong team, that would be embarrassing wouldn’t it?
So, there you have it. That’s all you need to know about watchin’ that Alabama football game today. It ain’t rocket science, folks. Just find the time, find the channel, and sit back and enjoy. And don’t forget to cheer loud for them Crimson Tide boys! They need all the help they can get, even if it’s just from us folks watchin’ on TV. And remember, University of Alabama and College football are important, but family and friends are more important. So be nice to everyone, even if they cheerin’ for the other team, ya hear?

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go find that there TV remote. And maybe bake another pie, just in case Miz Henderson wants some company. Go Bama!
