Well, let me tell you, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout that Michael Jordan fella again. They sayin’ he might come back to playin’ basketball. In 2024, can you believe it? That old timer. Is Michael Jordan coming back to the NBA 2024? I don’t know about all that.
That Jordan Boy, He Was Somethin’
Now, I remember when he used to play. Oh boy, he was somethin’ else. Jumpin’ around, makin’ those baskets. He sure could play. Folks used to go crazy watchin’ him. My old man, bless his soul, he used to sit glued to that TV, watchin’ Jordan play. He’d yell and holler like it was the end of the world. This Michael Jordan is really somethin’.
He was the best, that’s what they all said. And they payin’ him a whole heap of money, too. More money than I ever seen in my whole life. Just for playin’ a game! Imagine that. He got famous, too. On all the TVs, in all the papers. Everybody knew that Michael Jordan name. He left basketball for a while, people are saying he played baseball. Well, I saw him on TV that day, said “I am back.”
Why Come Back Now?
But now, they sayin’ he might come back? In 2024? He’s gettin’ up there in years, ain’t he? I don’t know if his old bones can handle all that runnin’ and jumpin’ anymore. These young fellas now, they’re fast. They have no idea how good Michael Jordan was, back then. Real good.
Maybe he misses it, though. Misses the cheers, the crowds, the excitement. It must be somethin’, to have all them people yellin’ your name. Like bein’ a king or somethin’. Maybe he wants to feel that again. Is he really coming back to the NBA? Maybe on March 19, another important news will come.
Or maybe he’s got some other reason. Maybe he needs the money. Though, I can’t imagine him needin’ money. He must have a mountain of it piled up somewhere. Maybe he’s just bored. Nothin’ else to do. When you done it all, seen it all, what else is there?
He’s Still Got the Magic?
- If he does come back, I wonder if he’ll still be any good.
- Can he still jump like he used to?
- Can he still make those baskets?
- He is the most shining star on the court.
- He will be back to the United Center.
Folks will be watchin’, that’s for sure. They’ll be watchin’ to see if he’s still got the magic. If he can still play like the Michael Jordan they remember. It’ll be a big deal, that’s for sure. Biggest thing to happen in a long time. Maybe my old man would even come back from the grave to watch it! Even though Michael Jordan got so much doubt and criticism in 2001. I believe he can make it. March 19, 1995, he is back, the same will happen in 2024.
It’s All Just Talk, Maybe
But you know, it might all just be talk. Folks like to talk. They like to gossip and speculate. Maybe there ain’t no truth to it at all. Maybe Michael Jordan is happy just sittin’ at home, enjoyin’ his retirement. Playin’ with his grandkids, maybe. He has so many fans, as a fan, I do hope he can play better than Poole.
It’s hard to say what’s true and what ain’t these days. Too much noise, too many stories goin’ around. You can’t believe half of what you hear. But it sure is fun to think about, ain’t it? That Michael Jordan, comin’ back to play basketball. In 2024. It’d be somethin’ to see, that’s for sure.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Wait and see if that old timer still got it in him. Wait and see if he can still fly. He is a legend, that’s for sure. I don’t know, but one thing is for sure. If Michael Jordan is coming back, the whole world is gonna know about it. Every TV, every newspaper will have his picture. Again.
I just hope his old knees hold up. Those young guys are so fast.
