Okay, so, today I really wanted to find out about the NASCAR race. I’m not a huge fan, but a buddy of mine is really into it, and he asked me if I knew when it was on and what channel.
First, I grabbed my phone and opened up the browser. I just typed in something simple like “is the NASCAR race on today” and hit enter.

What I Found Out
- Found that the NASCAR Cup Series Championship race is definitely a thing.
- It was going to be aired on NBC.
- Then I searched specifically for “what channel is NASCAR on today”, I saw a result mentioning the USA Network for some race called the “FireKeepers Casino 400”. Not sure if that’s the same thing my buddy was talking about, but it’s NASCAR, so I guess it counts.
- I also found a time – 3 p.m. ET (which is 1 p.m. where the race is, I guess). The location mentioned was Phoenix Raceway.
- There’s apparently a whole schedule for these races, and this one is on a Sunday.
- I also noticed something about a “South Point 400” playoff race, but that just confused me more. Playoffs in car racing?
So, I texted my buddy and told him what I found. He seemed happy enough, but then he started talking about “starting lineups” and a bunch of other stuff that went way over my head.
Anyway, that’s how I spent part of my day. Not the most exciting thing, but hey, at least I learned something new, I guess.
