Okay, so today I wanted to know the starting lineup for the NASCAR race. It wasn’t as straightforward as I thought it would be! Here’s how I went about finding it:
First Attempt: The Obvious
I started by just, you know, googling it. I typed in something like “NASCAR starting lineup today” and figured the answer would pop right up. Nope.

I got a bunch of news articles about the race, and some general NASCAR sites, but nothing with the actual, specific lineup. Lots of talk, but no list. Frustrating!
Digging Deeper
Next, I went to some of the bigger sports websites I could think of. You know, the usual suspects. Still no luck. I found race results from past races, driver profiles, season standings… everything but what I was looking for.
Getting Specific
I realized I needed to be more precise. So I started including the specific name of the race in my search. Also, I started adding the date, because, well, “today” changes every day. I wanted that very race day info, in case the info changes later.
Finally, Success! (Sort Of)
So after digging and digging I found some info!
- I find out who is the winner of the pole position: Denny Hamlin won the pole for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover Motor Speedway.
- I find out the name of who is in the Top 10 starters:
1. Denny Hamlin, 2. Kyle Larson, 3. Martin Truex Jr., 4. Chase Elliott, 5. William Byron, 6. Christopher Bell, 7. Alex Bowman, 8. Ty Gibbs, 9. Ryan Blaney, 10. Ross Chastain.
- I know the name of the race and time to help me next time: Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway.
It took more effort than I expected, but that’s the way it goes sometimes. Next time I’ll remember the steps I had to take to make it easier. And be sure to save those official NASCAR pages!
