Okay, so I’m a huge NASCAR fan, and I always wanna know when the race starts. It can be a real pain to figure it out sometimes, what with different time zones and TV schedules. So, I’ve gotten into a routine to make sure I never miss the green flag. Here’s what I did today.
Checked the Official NASCAR Schedule
First things first, I always go straight to the source. Today I pulled out my phone.

I opened up the browser on my phone.
Then, I searched for the official NASCAR website.
Looked for this week’s race details
Once I get to the schedule page, it’s pretty simple.
- I just scrolled through the races until I found the one for today.
- I always double-check the date to make sure I’m on the right one.
- I saw the race start time listed there.
Today’s race I saw the start time, broadcast channel, and even the pre-race show schedule, everything is right in the same spot.
Figured Out My Time Zone
Now, this is important. The listed time is almost East Coast time, and I live at Pacific Time Zone.

- So, I always gotta do a little mental math.
- I know my time zone and do the conversion.
I’ve gotten pretty good at figuring out the time difference, so I usually just do it in my head.
Set a Reminder!
This is the most crucial step, gotta make sure you don’t forget, right?
- I always set an alarm on my phone.
- I usually give myself some extra time before the race starts.
So, I set an alarm for, like, 30 minutes before the listed start time. That way, I can grab my snacks, get comfortable, and not miss any of the pre-race coverage.
That’s pretty much it! That’s my go-to method for figuring out when the NASCAR Cup Series race starts. It’s worked like a charm so far. No missed races yet!
