Okay, so I’ve been a long-time DISH Network subscriber, mainly for the sports channels. But with the NFL season approaching, I really wanted to make sure I could catch every single game, especially those out-of-market ones. So, I started digging into whether DISH actually offers NFL Sunday Ticket. Here’s what my journey looked like:
My Research Process
First, I started with a broad search, just throwing “does DISH Network have NFL Ticket” into my search bar, hoping for a quick answer. I got tons of results, some old, some new, some totally irrelevant.

Next, I started to look at some specific, I noticed a few things right away:
- Most of the results pointed towards DIRECTV, not DISH.
- Some articles mentioned past deals or rumors, but nothing concrete about DISH having the current rights to NFL Sunday Ticket.
I realized I was hitting a wall with general searches. So I decided to go straight to the source.
I headed over to the official DISH Network website. I spent a good chunk of time poking around their channel lineup, package options, and any sports-related sections I could find. I even tried using their site’s search bar, specifically looking for “NFL Sunday Ticket” or “NFL Ticket”.
After going to the official website and using their own search tool. I confirmed my suspicions.
I was bummed, obviously. I really like DISH’s interface and overall service, but not having NFL Sunday Ticket is a dealbreaker for me during football season. So, my next step is to see how to switch the service.
