Well, let me tell you about this here baseball game, the one with LSU and Ole Miss. Folks was all riled up about it, you know, like they always get about these college games.
LSU and Ole Miss Baseball: A Real Barn Burner
Now, I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I heard tell that LSU whupped up on Ole Miss pretty good in one game. Score was somethin’ like 9-3, they said. That’s a whole lotta runs, ain’t it? Sounded like them LSU boys was hittin’ the ball all over the place. Poor Ole Miss fellers couldn’t catch a break, I reckon.
Then there was another game, see? This one was closer. LSU won that one too, 4-2. Seems like they had this fella, Tommy White, who smacked a homer right off the bat. Just like that, LSU was up 1-0. Them fellas sure know how to get things started, I tell ya.
But Ole Miss, they ain’t no pushovers, no sir. They put up a fight in another game, but LSU still came out on top, 5-1. Even had a rain delay in that one, slowed things down a bit. But them LSU boys, they just kept on playin’ hard.
One of their pitchers, fella named Luke Holman, he pitched real good in one game. Kept Ole Miss from scorin’ too many runs. Pitchin’s mighty important in baseball, I hear. Gotta keep them fellers from hittin’ the ball, ya know.

Now, I don’t know much about all this fancy stuff, but folks was talkin’ ’bout how this game was on TV, on ABC. Said some fellas named Sean and Greg was talkin’ ’bout the game, and some gal named Molly was down on the field, tellin’ folks what was happenin’. Sounded like a big deal, bein’ on TV and all.
Folks was watchin’ on their phones and computers too, they said. Somethin’ called “FUBO” or somethin’ like that. You could even watch it for free, if you was new to it. All this technology, it’s somethin’ else, I tell ya.
Heard some talk about football too. LSU and Ole Miss gonna play football this year, seems like. That’s a whole ‘nother story, though. Them football games, they get even crazier than the baseball games. But that’s for another day.
LSU Boys Done Good
Anyways, seems like LSU done pretty good against Ole Miss in baseball this year. Won most of their games, sounds like. Them boys must be pretty darn good, all that hittin’ and pitchin’ and runnin’ around. Makes me tired just thinkin’ about it.
But folks sure do love watchin’ ’em. Cheerin’ and hollerin’ and eatin’ all kinds of food. It’s a good time, I reckon, even if you don’t know a whole lot about baseball. Just sittin’ there in the sun, watchin’ them fellas play. It’s somethin’ special.
I even heard that LSU was playin’ in some big tournament, but they lost a close one and got knocked out. That’s too bad. Them boys played hard all year, but sometimes, that’s just the way the cookie crumbles, ya know? Can’t win ’em all, I guess. But they sure gave it their all, and that’s what matters.
Now, I’m gonna go get myself a glass of sweet tea. All this talkin’ about baseball has made me thirsty. But them LSU boys, they sure are somethin’ else. Made us proud, they did.
