Alright, let’s talk about them F1 playing cards, you know, the kind them youngsters are all crazy about these days. I don’t know much about these fancy cars, but I hear they go real fast, like zoom zoom! Faster than my old mule Bess, that’s for sure.
So, these cards, they got pictures of them race cars on ‘em, and the drivers too. Folks like that Max Verstappen fella, I seen his name on some of them cards at the market. They say he’s a real good driver, wins all the time. Guess he’s got a lucky horseshoe up his… well, you know.

Now, where do you get these cards? Well, seems like you can find ‘em just about anywhere these days. The internet, that’s a big place, they say you can buy anything there. eBay, that’s one place they mentioned. Folks selling all sorts of things there, old and new. You gotta be careful though, some folks try to cheat ya, charge more than somethin’s worth. My grandson, he’s always on that eBay, looking for them “rare” cards, he calls ‘em. Says they’re worth a lot of money. I tell him, money don’t grow on trees, but he don’t listen.
Then there’s them stores, you know, the ones that sell toys and such. They got boxes of these cards, sealed up tight. You buy a box, hope you get a good one, with a special card inside. It’s like a lottery, I guess. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Like that time I bought a lottery ticket, thought I was gonna be rich, ended up with just enough to buy a loaf of bread. Life’s funny that way.
- Topps, that’s a name I keep hearin’. They make the cards, I think. They got all sorts, chrome ones, shiny ones, even ones with bits of the cars on ‘em, they call ‘em “relics.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? My grandson showed me a “relic” card once; I thought it was just a piece of junk glued on, but he said its a piece of car, the one “Carlos Sainz” drove. Can you believe that? Well I surely do not.
- They even got boxes they call “Hobby Box”, that’s more cards in it, and they more expensive. Folks buy ‘em up like hotcakes. My grandson, he saved up all his allowance to buy one of them boxes. He was so excited, like a kid on Christmas morning.
And what about them cards themselves? Well, they got numbers on ‘em, like regular playing cards. But they also got pictures and words and all sorts of things. They got aces, and deuces, and treys, just like the cards we used to play with when I was a girl. Only these got race cars on ‘em, not kings and queens.
Now, these F1 cars, they’re real fast, I hear. They go over two hundred miles an hour! Can you imagine? Faster than anything I ever seen. And they don’t even drive ‘em like regular cars, they got these special gearboxes, automatic or something. My old truck, now that’s a manual, you gotta shift the gears yourself. But these F1 cars, they do it all themselves. Fancy technology, I guess.
So, if you’re looking for these F1 playing cards, you know where to look. eBay, the stores, all over the place. Just be careful, don’t spend all your money on ‘em. There’s more important things in life than cards, you know. Like family, and friends, and a good cup of coffee in the morning. But I guess if them cards make them youngsters happy, well, that’s alright by me. Just as long as they don’t go drivin’ them F1 cars on the highway, that’d be a disaster, wouldn’t it?

Formula 1 cards are really somethin’, like that Turbo Attax collection, they say you get a lot of cards in a tin. Sounds like a good deal if you ask me. And then there is also those autographed cards, my grandson is always yappin’ about. Someday he says he’ll get one. I always say, “Well, you keep dreamin’ and maybe one day you will”.
There’s just so many of these cards. But If you’re itchin’ to show off how much you love your team, well they also got “memorabilia”. Flags, hats, shirts, you name it. You can turn your whole house into a racin’ museum if you wanted to. My neighbor, he’s got a whole room full of that stuff. His wife ain’t too happy about it, but he don’t care. He says it’s his “man cave”. Men and their toys, I tell ya. They never grow up.
So, there you have it, my two cents on them F1 playing cards. Not that I know much about ‘em, but I know a thing or two about life. And life’s too short to worry too much about little things, just enjoy it while you can. And if them cards make them youngsters happy, well, that’s good enough for me.
