Well now, if y’all ever watch the weather on WPXI, you might have heard of a fella by the name of Scott Harbaugh. He’s the one who gets up early in the mornin’, tellin’ folks what kinda weather to expect for the day. A real nice man, he’s been doin’ this job for a long time now, all the way back since 2005. Folks around Pittsburgh sure do know him well. But you know, Scott’s a bit private when it comes to his own personal life, so not much is known about his age. He don’t go around blabbin’ about it, which makes folks wonder just how old he really is.
Now, Scott’s a meteorologist for what they call Severe Weather Team 11, and also works on PCNC. That’s the local news channel there in Pittsburgh. You can see him bright and early every weekday mornin’, and folks rely on him to let ‘em know if they need an umbrella or if it’s a good day to go out and plant their flowers. He’s been part of the team for a long time now, and there’s something special about that. He loves his hometown, Pittsburgh, and he’s always said it’s a dream come true to be able to forecast weather right where he grew up. Ain’t that somethin’?
One thing about Scott is that he’s pretty active on social media, and that’s somethin’ folks around here appreciate. He don’t just talk about the weather; he also gets to interact with people. You can find him on Facebook and Twitter, where he shares not only weather updates but also a bit of his life. It’s nice, especially for the people who follow him daily, ‘cause they feel like they’re gettin’ to know him better. But as far as his age goes, well, he keeps that to himself. Ain’t no birthdate out there that we can pin down. Now, that don’t bother me none, but I know some folks might be curious.
Scott’s got quite the career under his belt, workin’ in meteorology and being the face of weather in Pittsburgh for nearly 20 years. He’s one of those steady, reliable people who folks turn to when the weather’s turnin’ ugly. He’s been through all kinds of storms, and folks trust his judgment when he says to stay inside or take shelter. He’s always got a way of explainin’ things so folks can understand, even if they ain’t too savvy about what’s goin’ on with all them fancy weather terms.
Though he don’t talk much about his personal life, we do know that Scott’s a family man. He’s got a wife, though not much is said about her, since he keeps that part of his life private too. People respect that, ‘cause sometimes, folks just wanna keep their family life separate from their work life. And that’s alright. But one thing is clear—Scott loves Pittsburgh, loves his job, and he sure loves the people who watch him every day.
Now, if you’re wonderin’ about Scott Harbaugh’s age, well, you’ll have to keep guessin’. He ain’t gonna give up that secret anytime soon, and maybe that’s just how he likes it. But what really matters is the work he does and how much people appreciate him. Whether he’s tellin’ you it’s time to get the snow shovels out or that the sun’s comin’ out for a beautiful day, folks know Scott’s got their back when it comes to the weather.
So, while we might never know just how many candles are on Scott Harbaugh’s birthday cake, we can rest easy knowin’ he’s out there workin’ hard to keep us all safe and prepared. And that’s somethin’ worth celebrating, if you ask me.
