Okay, so here’s the deal with football girdles and underwear. I’ve been playing on and off for a while, and let me tell you, figuring out what goes under the girdle was a whole thing.
First, I grabbed my gear. This included:
- My usual athletic underwear
- A compression-style pair of underwear, just in case
- The football girdle, of course
Trying it on
Initially,I thought, no brainer, right?Underwear,then *,I put on my regular athletic underwear and then pulled on the girdle. It felt…weird.
The padding in the girdle felt bulky against the underwear, bunching in some areas.
Next,I took off everything and tried the compression underwear.

This felt a little better. The compression shorts were smoother under the girdle, reducing the * felt more secure, more “locked in,” if that makes sense.
But still, something didn’t feel 100% * made me wonder if I was missing something obvious.
Trying it on for the last time
So, for one last test,I decided to be brave,I took off all the underwear and put the girdle * i wear it,I surprisingly felt much more comfortable than the previous two, it didn’t bunch up, and it gave me a greater sense of freedom.
So, based on my totally unscientific experiment, playing without underwear under the football girdle is the choice.
