Alright, guys, so I’ve been grinding away at NBA 2K24 MyCAREER, and I figured out something that’s been a game-changer for me, and I wanted to share it. I’m talking about simulating games. It’s not super obvious how to do it, so I thought I’d walk you through my process, step-by-step.
Figuring Out the Basics
First, I started a new MyCAREER. Got my player created, went through the initial cutscenes, and all that jazz. You gotta do that stuff first, no way around it. The first few games, you’re kinda forced to play. So, I played through those, just getting a feel for my player and the team.
Finding the Sim Options
Once I got a few games in, I started poking around the menus. That’s where things get a bit tricky. The key is the main MyCAREER menu, the one where you see your schedule, stats, and all that. I noticed that you need to advance the calendar.
So, here’s what I did:
- I opened up the calendar.
- I selected the date I wanted to simulate to. You can sim a single game, a few games, or even a whole bunch.
- Once I selected the date, a bunch of options popped up. This is where I found the simulate options.
Different Ways to Simulate the Games
There are a couple of simulate ways, I tried them out.
- I selected “Play Next Game,” I can play the next game normally.
- I selected “Sim to Next Appearance,” I can simulate the game but jump in whenever my player would normally enter the game.
- I selected “Sim to End,” I can sim the rest of the game without playing.
My Simulation Strategy
What I usually do is sim through games against teams I’m not too worried about. I wanna save my energy for the big matchups, you know? Also, if I’ve got a big lead or I’m getting blown out, I’ll sometimes sim to the end just to get it over with. I’ll sim to the next appearance if i wanna control a little bit.
The Results
Honestly, simulating has helped me progress through the season a lot faster. I can focus on the games that really matter and still get those stat boosts and VC. It’s not for everyone, but if you’re looking to speed things up a bit, definitely give it a try.
