Now, let me tell you, if you wanna know who’s the heaviest fella in the NBA, well, it’s a big ol’ bunch of ’em. You see, these boys ain’t small. Big ol’ giants, I tell ya. Like, take Jusuf Nurkic for example. Folks call him the “Bosnian Beast,” and for good reason. He’s one heavy lad, comin’ in at around 290 pounds. That’s one serious amount of weight to be carryin’ up and down a basketball court. Phoenix Suns snatched him up after tradin’ around with the Blazers. Nurkic, he been playin’ a while, but he ain’t the heaviest, no sir.
Now, lemme tell ya about Tacko Fall. Oh boy, now this one here, he’s somethin’ else. Tacko stands tall like a tree and weighs a whole 311 pounds. That’s more than your average farm truck full of potatoes, if you ask me. Tacko, he’s been playin’ for a few years now, and every time he steps on that court, folks are just amazed at his size. His height, over 7 feet tall, sure makes him stand out, but it’s the weight too. You can’t miss Tacko, no way.

There’s also Gheorghe Muresan, the tallest player to ever grace the NBA. He was a real big fella, weighin’ in at 302 pounds. Now, I tell ya, when you’re that tall and heavy, folks are gonna remember ya for a long time. Muresan’s size made him famous, and even though he’s retired now, folks still talk ’bout him. You could say he was a big deal back in the day, both figuratively and literally. Ain’t nobody forgettin’ a guy like that.
Let’s not forget Robert Traylor, who they used to call “Tractor” Traylor. Now, that ain’t no nickname ya get for bein’ small. He was well over 300 pounds at one point, and his weight actually cost him a spot on a team. Back in 2005, he couldn’t pass the physical for the Nets ‘cause of his size. Imagine that, too big to play basketball! But hey, his size sure made him memorable. I reckon not too many folks can say they were too heavy for the NBA.
Now, if we look at the current season, we got Kenneth Lofton Jr. comin’ in at 275 pounds. He’s one of the lighter heavyweights, but still, 275 pounds ain’t no joke. It’s like carryin’ a whole lotta sacks of feed. Lofton’s been havin’ a slow start this season, but that don’t mean he ain’t got potential. Sometimes big ol’ boys just take a little longer to get rollin’, but when they do, watch out!
All in all, these fellas are real giants. The NBA has always had players who tower over the rest of us, but it ain’t just their height that makes ’em stand out – it’s their weight too. So, if you’re wonderin’ who’s the heaviest in the NBA, well, there’s a bunch of ’em. From Nurkic to Tacko, to Muresan and “Tractor” Traylor, these guys are carryin’ some serious heft. And boy, it sure makes the game excitin’ to watch!
