This here’s about that Rick Allen fella, the one yellin’ ’bout them NASCAR cars. Why is Rick Allen leaving NASCAR? Well, I heard some things, you know, just folks talkin’.
Why Rick Allen Is No Longer With NASCAR
Seems like his time was just up, like an old milk cow that ain’t givin’ no more milk. They got this new TV thing, see? A new deal, whatever that means. Sounds like a bunch of fancy talk to me. But that’s what they say played a big part in it. Rick, he’s gone, but that Leigh fella, he’s still around. They say Leigh is gonna be the new voice for them races. Guess they like his voice better or somethin’. Heard he used to talk about them IndyCar races, whatever those are.

They say Rick’s contract was up. Like when you buy a sack of flour, and it’s all gone. Time for a new one. And this new TV deal thing, it just shook everything up, I reckon. Like when you get a new rooster in the henhouse. Everything changes.
NASCAR and Changes
And speakin’ of changes, that Dodge, they left too. Ain’t that somethin’? They used to be in them races, but I guess they got tired of it. Folks ain’t as interested in watchin’ them cars go ’round and ’round anymore, I suppose. Or maybe Dodge just didn’t wanna spend no more money on it. Like when you got a leaky bucket, you gotta decide if it’s worth fixin’ or if you should just get a new one.
Dodge is gone from NASCAR. Just like that. Poof! They said it was a “strategic choice”. Sounds like a load of hogwash to me. They just didn’t wanna play no more, that’s all.
- Dodge left NASCAR
- Rick Allen’s contract was up
- New TV deal shook things up
- Leigh Diffey is the new voice
Back in the Day
You know, this whole NASCAR thing, it started way back. I heard tell of a fella named Bill France, back in, oh, 1935 or somethin’. He started havin’ these races down in Daytona Beach. Just wanted folks to come watch and the drivers to race for him. Seems like some of them other race fellas weren’t too honest, always cheatin’ the winners outta their money. But this Bill France, he was a good one, I reckon. And that’s how this whole NASCAR thing got started, back in 1948.
Bill France started it all. A long, long time ago. Just like plantin’ a seed, and watchin’ it grow into a big ol’ tree.

Leigh Diffey, the New Guy
Now, this Leigh Diffey, he’s gonna be yellin’ about them cars now. They say he’s got a good voice for it. Guess we’ll see. Or hear, I reckon. He’s takin’ over for Rick, that’s for sure. It’s like when you get a new preacher at church. Takes some gettin’ used to, but it is what it is.
Leigh Diffey is replacing Rick Allen. That’s the long and short of it.
Rick, he always said he had a “unique path” to NASCAR. Whatever that means. Sounds like he took the long way around the barn to me. But hey, everyone’s got their own road to travel, I suppose.
What’s Next for Rick Allen
So, what’s Rick gonna do now? Well, nobody knows for sure. Maybe he’ll go fishin’. Maybe he’ll take up knittin’. Who knows? But one thing’s for sure, he won’t be yellin’ about them NASCAR cars no more. He needs to find something else to do, that’s for sure. Maybe he will write a book about NASCAR.
What will Rick Allen do next? That’s the big question.

- Rick Allen had a “unique path”
- Leigh Diffey is the new announcer
- Dodge left NASCAR a while back
- Bill France started NASCAR years ago
- Rick’s contract ended
This whole thing is just like life, I reckon. Things change. People come and go. You gotta roll with the punches, as they say. Just like a river, always flowin’, always changin’.
NASCAR is Always Changing
NASCAR ain’t the same as it used to be. Nothin’ ever is. But that’s alright. Keeps things interestin’, I suppose. Just gotta keep up with the times, that’s all.
So there you have it. That’s all I know about why Rick Allen is leaving NASCAR. Just a bunch of talk, really. But sometimes, that’s all you need to get the gist of things. Why is Rick Allen leaving NASCAR? Now you know. It is all about that new TV deal, I tell ya. It changes everything. It surely does.
