Alright, listen up y’all, let’s talk about this NASCAR racin’ thing. Folks keep askin’, “When’s that race on today?” and “What channel is it on?”. Well, hold your horses, I’m gonna tell ya.
First off, you gotta know these races ain’t always on the same time or the same channel. It’s like tryin’ to catch a chicken, always movin’ around. But no matter, we’ll figure it out.

This here NASCAR Cup Series, that’s the big one, the one everyone’s yappin’ about. They race all over the place, Daytona, Darlington, places I ain’t never even heard of. Each race has its own time, so you gotta pay attention.
Now, sometimes the race is on in the afternoon, like around lunchtime, you know, when your stomach starts rumblin’. Other times, they race at night, under them bright lights. It just depends on where they’re racin’ and what the TV folks decide.
- For example, that Daytona race, the Coke Zero Sugar one, that one might be on at a different time than the race at Darlington, the Cook Out one. See? It’s all mixed up.
- And don’t even get me started on them channels. Sometimes it’s on NBC, sometimes it’s on USA Network, sometimes it’s even on FOX or FS1. It’s enough to make your head spin!
If you got that fancy DIRECTV, well, you’re in luck. They got all them channels, so you can probably find the race no matter what. They got that NBC on channel 12, and USA Network on 242. And they got ESPN and FS1 too, so you’re covered.
But what if you ain’t got DIRECTV? Well, then you gotta hunt around a bit. Sometimes it’s on regular ol’ NBC, the one everybody gets. And if you’re up in Canada, they say it’s on TSN.
I heard tell there’s this thing called Fubo too. Sounds like some kinda fancy drink, but they say you can watch the races on there. They even got a free trial, so you can try it out before you gotta pay. But I don’t know nothin’ about that fancy stuff, I’m just tellin’ you what I heard.

Now, about that championship race, that’s the real deal. That’s when they decide who’s the best racer of ’em all. This year, I heard it was Joey Logano, Tyler Reddick, Ryan Blaney, and that Byron fella. They all had a shot at winnin’, but only one fella could take home the prize.
That championship race, they usually put that on the big channels, like NBC and TSN. They want everyone to see it, you know. So if you’re lookin’ for that one, just check them channels first.
So, to find out what time and channel that NASCAR race is on today, you gotta do a little diggin’. Check your TV guide, look online, ask your neighbor. Just don’t come cryin’ to me if you miss it, ’cause I done told you everything I know.
And remember, these races are always happenin’. They got that whole season, the NASCAR Cup Series, and they race pretty much every week. So if you miss one, don’t fret, there’ll be another one comin’ along soon enough.
That’s all I got to say about that NASCAR racin’. Now go on and find that race, and have yourself a good time. And don’t forget to cheer for your favorite driver, whoever that may be.

One last thing, they got these websites and apps now, where they tell you all this stuff. You can probably find the time and channel on there too, if you’re fancy like that. But I’m too old for that newfangled technology, I’ll stick to my TV guide.
