Okay, so the other day, I was trying to find the NASCAR race on the radio. It’s not always as easy as you’d think! Here’s how I went about it, step-by-step.
Figuring Out the Right Station
First, I grabbed my phone. I knew there had to be a way to find this out online, so I started with a simple search, just use my phone typed what I looking for in search bar.
After reading the search results, I find two ways.
- Checked the official NASCAR website.
- Used a search engine like Google. Search for “NASCAR radio broadcast” plus the name of the race or the date.
The NASCAR website usually has a “How to Follow” section for each race. I’ve noticed that before. It should list the radio affiliates.
Digging Through the Results
The search results I got pointed me to a couple of likely sources:
- MRN (Motor Racing Network): I figured this was a good bet, since it’s a major NASCAR broadcaster.
- PRN (Performance Racing Network): Another big player, so I kept that in mind too.
- SiriusXM NASCAR Radio: I don’t have satellite radio, so that wasn’t going to work for me, I only focus on AM radio station.
So, I focused on the MRN and PRN options. I checked their websites. Usually, they’ll have a list of affiliate stations, sometimes even a way to search by your location.
Finding the Local Affiliate
What I really needed was the local station in my area carrying the race. After a bit of trial and error and checking,I find it!

So that’s how I did it! It took a little digging, but I managed to find the race broadcast. Not too hard, really, just needed to know where to look.
