Well, I heard folks talkin’ ’bout that Michigan football game. They sayin’ it’s a big one. I don’t know much ’bout football, but I like watchin’ it on that big ol’ TV. My grandson, he’s always yellin’ at the screen. Gets me all riled up too!
Now, they askin’ what channel is the Michigan football game on? That’s what they all wanna know. See, I just turn the thing on and there it is. But these young folks, they got all them fancy channels. Too many for this old lady to keep track of, I tell ya.
I think I heard ’em say somethin’ ’bout ESPN. Is that one of them channels? Sounds familiar. Maybe it’s that one with all the sports on it. They show all them games, football, basketball, even that one where they hit the little ball with a stick. Baseball, I think they call it.
They also said something about CBS. I remember CBS used to show those old westerns. Now it shows football. Imagine that. They used to be shootin’ at each other with six-shooters, now they are tackling each other. I don’t understand it but it is sure fun to watch.

Someone also said somethin’ about a free trial. Free is good. Everyone likes free. My neighbor, she always lookin’ for a bargain. She’d be happy to hear ’bout that free trial. I should tell her about it next time I see her. Maybe she has that channel too.
They say it’s gonna be on at 12:00 p.m. That’s noon. Right when I’m usually eatin’ my lunch. Guess I’ll have to eat and watch at the same time. Hope I don’t choke on my food gettin’ all excited ’bout the game.
They sayin’ Michigan gonna play ‘gainst some team called… uh… Alabama Crimson Tide. Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it? Crimson Tide. What even is that? Sounds like somethin’ you’d see at the beach. Not sure what it’s got to do with football, but these young folks, they know all ’bout these things. I don’t ask anymore.
And where they playin’ this game? Some place called… ReliaQuest Bowl. Never heard of it. Must be one of them fancy stadiums they got nowadays. Back in my day, we just played in the field. Didn’t need no fancy names. Just a ball and some grass, that’s all you need.
Sometimes, they say it is on FS1. I don’t know what that is either. They also say there are people on there called Tim Brando and Devin Gardner. I guess they talk about the game while it is on. I prefer to just watch it myself, but they can talk if they want to.
They say somethin’ ’bout a radio too. WWJ-AM 950. I used to listen to the radio all the time. Before we got that TV. Used to listen to the news and them radio shows. They don’t make ’em like they used to. All that good music is gone now.
Another time they say it is gonna be played on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 7:30 p.m. They are playin’ at a place called Husky Stadium in Seattle. I ain’t never been to Seattle. I hear it rains a lot there. Hope it don’t rain on the game.
They talkin’ ’bout Michigan vs. Washington. I think that Washington is a state. I don’t know why a state is playin’ football but they know what they are doin’ I guess. I hope Michigan wins. That’s all I know.
One time they say Michigan playin’ against a team call Oregon. I don’t know who they are either. There’s just so many teams. I can’t keep up with all of ’em.
And sometimes, they play against a team called Northwestern. I don’t know where that is either. Is that up north? I ain’t never been up north. I just stay here in my little town. That’s all I need.
Well, I hope they find out what channel is the Michigan football game on. It’s always a big to-do when that game’s on. Everyone’s talkin’ ’bout it. Even me, and I don’t even know that much ’bout football. But it’s fun to watch, and it’s somethin’ to do. Keeps me from gettin’ bored, that’s for sure.
I just hope they win. That’s all I care ’bout. Go Michigan! Or somethin’ like that. That’s what they all yell, right? Go Michigan! Yeah, that’s it. Go Michigan!
