What time is the Alabama Tennessee football game? This old woman, I wanna know. My grandson, he loves that Alabama Crimson Tide, you see. He’s always yelling at that TV box. Says they gotta win. Gotta beat them Tennessee Volunteers. I don’t know much about this football, but he sure gets excited. He says, “Grandma, you gotta watch with me!”
So, I says, “Alright, boy, when is this game?” He says, “It’s a big one, Grandma, Alabama vs. Tennessee.” He keeps talking about the score from before. Says Alabama is gonna win by 30, whatever that means. 30 points, maybe? I don’t know, but it seems important to him.

Big Game This Year
He says this year is gonna be a big one. Something about 2024 college football season. They’re playing in Week 8, he says. I don’t know what that means either, but I just nod my head. He’s a good boy, even if he gets loud sometimes. He wants to watch the game at Neyland Stadium. That sounds like a loud place.
- He says some fella named Sean is gonna talk about the game.
- And another one named Greg.
- And some girl named Molly will be there too.
He says they’re gonna be on that ABC channel. That’s the one with the pretty people, right? I like watching the pretty people. I hope they talk about the game in a way I can understand, too. I don’t need all that fancy football talk. Just tell me who’s winning, that’s all I care about.
My grandson, he’s trying to get them Alabama Crimson Tide tickets. He says they’re on sale. I told him, “Boy, those things are probably expensive!” He just smiled and said, “It’s worth it, Grandma.” I guess this game is a really big deal. I don’t understand it, but if it makes him happy, that’s good enough for me.
Gotta Support the Team
He says you gotta support your team. He’s got all those Alabama things. Hats, shirts, even a little flag. He’s ready for the game, that’s for sure. I just hope they win, so he’ll be happy. I don’t like seeing him sad when his team loses. It’s like his whole world is ending. Silly, I know, but that’s how boys are with their sports.
He says everyone’s selling them 2024 Alabama Crimson Tide tickets. Like they’re hotcakes or something. I told him to be careful. There are plenty of folks out there trying to trick you. He said he’s buying them from some place called Vivid Seats. I hope that’s a good place. I don’t want him getting ripped off. Those tickets cost a lot of money, I bet. He says that this place is safe and he can order now.

Just Want Him to Be Happy
I don’t know about all this football stuff, but I love my grandson. If this Alabama Tennessee football game is important to him, then it’s important to me, too. I’ll sit there with him and watch, even though I won’t understand half of what’s going on. I’ll just be happy to see him happy. That’s what matters most to this old lady.
He says he’ll explain it all to me. Bless his heart, he tries. But it’s all so confusing. I just tell him, “You just tell me who to cheer for, and I’ll cheer.” He laughs and says, “You gotta cheer for Alabama, Grandma! They’re the best!” I guess I’ll be cheering for Alabama, then. Go, Alabama! Win that game! Make my grandson proud. That’s all this old woman wants. I hope they play good, whoever they are. I’ll just be here, hoping my grandson smiles at the end of it all. That’s the best score there is, a happy grandson. As long as he’s happy, I’m happy. And if cheering for that Alabama Crimson Tide makes him happy, then that’s what this old lady will do. Go, team, go!
