Okay, so I wanted to figure out who’s gonna be in the front of the pack for tomorrow’s NASCAR race. You know, the pole position, the guy who gets to start ahead of everyone else. It’s a big deal in racing, gives you a nice little edge right off the bat.
First, I checked out the schedule to make sure I had the right race. Turns out, it’s the one at Daytona International Speedway. Big track, lots of history. And the race is at night, 7:30 PM ET, which is always cool to watch. I’m a sucker for those night races under the lights. They are going to broadcast it on NBC and Peacock, so there is also some other way to watch it.

Then, I started digging around to find out who got the pole. Found out it was Michael McDowell. He’s with Front Row Motorsports, a team that’s been doing pretty well lately. And get this, his teammate, Todd Gilliland, is starting right beside him in second! Front Row Motorsports locked out the front row, which is awesome for them.
I also looked at some other recent qualifying results, just to get a feel for who’s been fast lately. Noticed a few other names popping up. Like, Shane van Gisbergen got the pole at Charlotte Motor Speedway recently. That’s a road course, so it’s a bit different, but still shows he’s got some speed. And Christopher Bell took the pole at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He’s in the playoffs, so he’s definitely one to watch.
- Michael McDowell – He’s the pole-sitter for tomorrow’s race at Daytona.
- Todd Gilliland – He’s starting second, right next to his teammate.
- Front Row Motorsports – This team really showed up and got both of the top starting spots.
- Other fast guys recently – Shane van Gisbergen at Charlotte, Christopher Bell at Las Vegas.
Then, Tyler Reddick is starting first at Homestead-Miami Speedway in the qualifying, that’s another one I should pay attention to. Lastly, I saw that Martin Truex, Jr. is gonna be in front for the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race at Phoenix. That’s his last race as a full-timer, so it’s pretty cool he got the pole.
So, that’s what I found out. McDowell and Gilliland are the guys to beat tomorrow at Daytona, at least at the start. But in NASCAR, anything can happen, especially at a track like Daytona. It’s gonna be an exciting race, that’s for sure!
Anyway, that’s my little investigation into tomorrow’s NASCAR race. Hope you found it interesting!
