Alright, so you wanna know about this Devonte Lee fella and if he’s in the NFL, huh? Well, lemme tell ya what I know. It ain’t always easy to keep track of these youngins, they runnin’ around like chickens with their heads cut off, but I done heard a thing or two.
Now, from what I gather, this Devonte Lee, he played college football. Yeah, played for them Nevada Wolf Pack, or somethin’ like that. Ran the ball, I reckon. A running back, they call ’em. Big strong fella, probably. They said he’s from Oklahoma City, so he’s gotta be tough, you know how them Okies are. Tough as nails.
They say he was pretty good in college. Scored some touchdowns, helped his team win some games. I heard tell he ran for two touchdowns in one game against New Mexico State. That’s somethin’, ain’t it? Sounds like he could really scoot. But see, college ain’t the NFL, not by a long shot. It’s a whole different ball game, like comparing a mule to a racehorse.

Now, I been watchin’ football for a good long while, and I know a thing or two. To get to the NFL, you gotta be the best of the best. You gotta be strong, fast, smart, and lucky, I reckon. And even then, it ain’t no guarantee. Lots of good college players never make it to the big leagues. It’s a tough business, real tough.
So, is this Devonte Lee in the NFL now? Well, from what I ain’t heard, I’d say probably not. You see, if he was in the NFL, we’d be hearin’ about him all the time. They’d be talkin’ about him on the TV, and his name would be in the papers. And I ain’t heard nothin’ like that. Not a peep. That usually means he ain’t made it, or maybe he just ain’t good enough yet.
But that don’t mean he’s a failure or nothin’. Plenty of folks don’t make it to the NFL, and they still do just fine. Maybe he went on to do somethin’ else, got himself a good job, started a family. Life’s got more to it than just football, you know. There’s more important things than chasin’ a ball around a field.
I tell ya, these young fellas, they put all their eggs in one basket, hopin’ to make it big in sports. And sometimes it works out, and sometimes it don’t. That’s just life. You gotta roll with the punches, pick yourself up, and keep on movin’. Can’t sit around cryin’ over spilled milk, as they say.
Now, I could be wrong, mind you. Maybe he did make it to the NFL and I just missed it. But I doubt it. Like I said, they’d be makin’ a big fuss over him if he was playin’ on Sundays. So, until I hear otherwise, I’m gonna say Devonte Lee ain’t in the NFL. He might be doin’ somethin’ else, though, somethin’ just as good or maybe even better. You never know what life has in store for ya.
