Okay, so I was trying to figure out which NFL games are actually shown on TV. It’s a bit of a maze, honestly. I started by checking out the usual suspects, you know, the big networks.
First, I turned on my TV and flipped through the channels. I landed on ESPN, and sure enough, they were talking about the upcoming games. They have this whole schedule, but it’s mostly focused on the primetime stuff, like Monday Night Football.

- Monday Night Football: This one’s always on ESPN. Easy enough to remember.
Then I moved on to CBS and FOX. These guys show a bunch of games on Sundays. It seems like they split the games based on the teams’ conferences. I noticed that CBS mostly shows AFC games, while FOX has the NFC ones.
- Sunday Afternoon Games: CBS and FOX are your go-to channels.
- AFC: Mostly on CBS.
- NFC: Mostly on FOX.
After that, I remembered about NBC. They have that Sunday Night Football thing, which is always a big deal. It’s usually a pretty high-profile matchup.
- Sunday Night Football: Always on NBC, and it’s usually a big game.
So, I dug a little deeper and found out about the NFL Network. They show games on Thursdays and sometimes on Saturdays, especially later in the season.
- Thursday Night Football: Often on NFL Network, but sometimes it’s on other channels too. Confusing, right?
- Saturday Games: NFL Network has some of these later in the season.
My conclusion after this little adventure
It’s a bit of a mixed bag, to be honest. You’ve got games spread out all over the place. The best way to keep track, I guess, is to just check the weekly schedule and see where your team is playing. If you want to watch all the games then it really needs too much work. But if you just want to watch your favorite team, then it will be much easier.
That is how I know which games are televised and hope my experience will help you somehow.
